    When President Nixon discovers that the population is getting too smart to re-elect him again, he gets Dr. Wernstrom to create a machine that will make everyone stupider until Election Day. However, the Dumbsday device affects everyone but Fry, making him "the smartest man in the world."

    This one was like Decision 2012 meets The Day The Earth Stood Stupid. Watching a debate with Nixon, Bernie Burnman, and Fantastic Fours Invisible Woman that was being broadcast by Wolfman Blitzer, Fry ponders why people were so inarticulate to keep voting for Nixon. After a popcorn incident, people are fed up with Frys perpetual senselessness. Funny wordplay on Bernie Sanders and Wolf Blitzer. Meanwhile, Nixon is solicitous that he's behind in the polls.
