@Caligula: You actually count Halloween 2 as a good horror movie? Now don't get me wrong I thought Zombie's first Halloween was a masterpiece of a remake sure it wasn't as good as the first but that goes with any remake, but he just really made a shitty movie with the sequel.

Is it just me or does anyone else see that horror films pale in comparison to horror books?

That's tough. I might give a slight edge to Tony for his recent appearance in Hatchet and Hatchet II, But I love Sid Haig.

I'd agree with Caligula here. Tony was awesome in the Hatchet series.

I want it. I want it. I want it. Now!"  LOL I wonder if that was Darth Maul speaking or whispering, rather.  Good stuff.  "
I was just about to ask about this. Who has seen it? is it good? and more importantly will it scare me?

Should we see more horror crossovers? I mean all we've seen is Freddy VS Jason. What about Leatherface VS Michael Myers? Hellraiser VS Pumpkinhead? Why only Freddy VS Jason? There are a lot of other good crossover worthy horror franchises out there and I for one think they need to make these crossovers instead of making mostly crappy reboots(Rob Zombies first Halloween was good, the 2nd was just blood and gore with hardly any plot but thats just my opinion).

@Mr. Dead Pool: I think you would have to find a common factor in all of their massacres to write the script, other than the victims being teenagers.
Edit: The thing I liked about Freddy versus Jason was the kill score and Freddy having competition, despite the fact that Jason was pretty much uncaring about it.

@sesquipedalophobe: True and I know all that but I think that Hellraiser VS Pumpkinhead has potential. I mean the only way to stop Pumpkinhead is to kill the person who summoned him which means he could give old Pinhead a good fight.

@lord_oraculous016: It is disturbing. Imagine people being torn to shreds, but only after you're forced to watch people strut about with primped hair and fashionably tragic clothing.
Edit: As in people, I mean that effing worm thing that came out of his wife.

One movie that always gave me nightmares was Critters. I would like to have seen a Gremlins crossover with those things, even though Gremlins wasn't actually a B-grade horror film.

With the remake of Evil Dead happening now what does this mean for the comics? Will Dynamite stop them or will they begin using the remake version?

Early George Romero movies such as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, & Day of the Dead were classics.  John Carpenter's The Thing was also a classic, great movie which they're making a prequel to.  Pumpkinhead was good, the early Hellraiser movies were worth watching.

yep I'm excited. it's supposed to be that the clowns are responsible for the end of the world. they invade earth... just like the mayans predicted.

best of all it's written and going to be directed by the original writers/directors the Chiodo brothers.
