FEMINISTS AND AFRICANISTS!! LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!
Everyone is pissed about this and I'm just sitting here, as someone who doesn't give a damn about Thor.
This....
Female Thor?
So...Freya?
@ximpossibrux: Actually they're pulling Ben Affleck from his role as Batman and putting in Kate Beckinsale. This is one of the stills from filming for Batman Vs. Superman Dawn of Justice.

It's cool though.
Maybe if I cared about Thor this would be mildly interesting to me. *shrug* Besides, been there, read that.
Is it just me or is hard to tell who is actually upset about this and who is just like "Meh, I don't care"?
Maybe Hercules and Thor can take their relationship to the next level finally.
A lot of great stories can be told about that!

Yeah, Sarah Jessica Parker wielded Mjolnir once. What's the hubbub, bubs?
I don't understand you
I think it is a bad idea, because outside of comics Thor is known as a guy. Think of what kind of mindf*ck fans of the cinematic universe will get when they pick up an issue of Thor.
Also calm down, in the future Thor is a guy.
@timelordscience: It's not obvious it isn't? I seriously don't know how to make it any more of a joke.
I haven't even ever read a Thor comic.
@patmcgroin: You think I'm serious? Ha!
@ximpossibrux: Actually they're pulling Ben Affleck from his role as Batman and putting in Kate Beckinsale. This is one of the stills from filming for Batman Vs. Superman Dawn of Justice.
Does Affleck come back and turn lesbian Batman? Chasing Batfleck?
@The_Deathstroker: I tell you one thing you get points for the LOTR reference.
@ostyo: Yep. @trollertroll: Gee, I haven't heard that one before. @shadowswordmaster: Yay! I was hoping someone would like it.
@patmcgroin: You think I'm serious? Ha!
I know your not serious, I was saying calm down to the idiots who agree with what you posted.
@The_Deathstroker: But you didn't have Aragon in the OP which deducted some points.
@eisenfauste: Read CV's article. She is Thor in the future. @noteworthington: This isn't a troll thread and I do know what a feminist is. It's a joke. A fan raging about Thor's change.
I'm sorry you have no sense of humor and no friends. O_o
"Troll thread"
"Joke"
Same difference when so poorly executed.
@The_Deathstroker: Really?
@extremis: I am well aware that there isn't a sex change happening I was just listing what I hate writers doing with comic characters. It isn't needed at all, there is no call for Thor suddenly being unworthy when his character is anything but. It's just Marvel trying to get more money by attempting to pull more female readers.
Basically don't muck around with characters when you don't need to it's not like Thor was stagnating or anything so much that a fresh look is needed. My guess is that this won't go to well and "Thor" will be Thor again in not too long of a time.
I can understand passionate fans of Thor feeling like Marvel is messing with a character they adore/identify with - but these companies are ALWAYS doing this. And they ALWAYS will. They mix things up because they have the same characters, basically unchanging, for decades.
Truth is, Thor will be back to his normal status quo. Probably sooner rather than later. This is Marvel trying to pull in female readership, like you say. While I don't initially love the idea of them changing Thor, my mind doesn't just shut off like some people's before hearing the rest of it and seeing the importance in what they are doing. (I'm not directing this at you, mind you)
Personally, I don't even read Marvel or DC anymore anyway. But I think it's cool that they are mixing up the core Avenger lineup (New Cap on the way and everything else). It's time for a change.
@The_Deathstroker: How did that happen? Odin get bored or something?
@noteworthington: It was a poorly executed troll thread, but that's not what it is. It's a play on how much Comic fans rage and hate on things when they're changed or not to their liking. That's the joke. You've been here long enough to know that.
@ostyo: Marvel just got bored, I guess. @trollertroll: Really. You're the most original person I know! @patmcgroin: I see.
@The_Deathstroker: But we already had Lady Loki. Thor is such a copy cat!
@ostyo: Maybe.... Or Marvel just has a bunch of dumb@sses working for them.
@The_Deathstroker: Feminism generally isn't a good topic to satire or make fun of unless its directly applied against another individual, group or entity whose attitude towards feminism is actual and sincere so people can contrast the two, otherwise it just comes off as a bit of a random ramble. Its because of Poe's law and the fact that there are lots of people who actually hold such views and act like this. Many people will think you are being serious and there won't really be anything you can add to OP to make them think otherwise because of this.
Side note related to subject, Marvel is not doing this to appeal to female readers or feminists, please fans of comic books, understand that this is more about getting the attention of more casual fans. This sort of news is going to gain a lot of publicity, I have already seen sites that generally don't cover comics picking this up, and all that ultimately is going to translate into sales, as demonstrated time and time again. If your a fan of Jason Aaron's Thor you shouldn't worry too much, in fact you should be happy since its sales are actually kind of poor relative to the general quality of the book review/fan feedback wise, and this sales boost might put it into a top twenty sales book.

Really now
@shadowswordmaster: I felt he would've been a little out of place.
@dagmar_merrill: FINALLY, SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS ME!!! RAGE QUIT!!!!

These so called feminists are worrying about a 'small' women presence in media and banning the word "bossy" (not kidding they actually tried to ban that word...) meanwhile, there are innumerable examples of women being persecuted in the Muslim world, from their characterization as terrorists simply for driving in Saudi Arabia, to genital mutilation in African countries, to stonings in places like Afghanistan. I strongly dislike this country.
@The_Deathstroker: I see what you mean but some Braveheart music could add a good touch .
@noone301994: I strongly dislike the Middle East as a whole. Not all the people are bad, but the countries are just messed up.
And lol, I heard about the bossy thing.
@shadowswordmaster: ..... Maybe..... Just maybe you're on to something.
TO GOOGLE!!!

So do I but you would think that feminists would try to spend their time protesting the f*cked up sh*t they were doing in the Mid-East instead of worrying about, idk, say, the word "bossy." Lol...
Seriously I was wondering how long before this was going to hit Comic Vine. I found this out at 1:00 p.m. eastern standard time today I just didn't feel like making a thread out of it.
I hate when a characters sexuality, skin color, or sex is changed when the original was made a certain way.
Except that this is different since this seems to be a new character that seems to be taking the name of "Thor: The God(dess) of Thunder",not like they reboot and now Thor is a black woman XD
@The_Deathstroker: New story...Angela has a...sister?!
@noone301994: Lmao, I know what you meant the first time, but this way of says it was funnier. Have I followed you yet?
Am I literally the only one that's okay with this news???
Like,am I the only one that's accepted it and seems perfectly fine with it,or.....
Because that's literally what it seems like.
And perhaps it doesn't have to do with comic fans screaming at everything before it's released...
@The_Deathstroker: *Slatues*
@twix_right_side: I'm fine with it. Did you read the OP? Just making fun of all the rage.
