I love reading a bout miles just like i like reading about 2099 and Scarlet spider, but his origin was stupid...he got bit by a spider, then saw spiderman die on the news and then felt bad so he played super hero, and then nick fury gave him a costume because why not. Even though half of Ultimate spider-man he tried to talk Peter out of it, as well as captain america because without proper training he may end up dead... he just gives miles a costume and lets him do this with even less brains and less training. BRILLIANT! Like I said I like the comic because it is entertaining, but if I saw that origin on the big screen I would have tons of wtf moments.

Miles deserves it. Peter Parker is great n all but Miles NEEDS to happen.

SpiderMan its Marvel Poster Boy, video games, comics, movies or anything

Miles its still a SpiderMan and that its not going to change.

The reason why Marvel had to take risks, was the fact they lack of an Status Quo, the fact any SpiderMan wasnt part of their Universe and no X Men in their universe.

Their movies got great because they didn had an Status Quo.

Miles is the illusion of progress, they could let Peter die, but not SpiderMan, it would be more risky to let Peter retire and there isnt any SpiderMan, that having a new SpiderMan.

• marvel put in their press release "we are bringing Peter Parker's story into the future"
• nobody outside the comicbook community who Miles Morales is
• most people in the world know who spiderman is and identify him as Peter Parker
• even among the small group that is the comicbook community not all of them want Miles Morales
• Marvel doesn't have sidekicks
• 2 spidermans might confuse people
• Sony doesn't want it and they have final say
• neither of the actors set to play spiderman are black
• if we use Miles Morales we get another origin story
• they wont be able to properly introduce Miles Morales before civil war
• part of what makes Miles Morales cool is that he is carrying on Peter Parker's legacy

What's better about MIles Origins. He was bit by a spider...and then saw spider man on tv, and decided to be spiderman months later. it actually took him a while from when he got bit to him actually being spider-man. What drives him to be spiderman? All of spider-mans supporting cast did. His origin story is less fulfilling then peters.

Agreed BUT only when the following happens in the MCU non-negotiable.

1. Lady Thor is the main Thor

2. Sam Wilson becomes the new Captain America

3. She Hulks take over for Hulk

4. Young Tony Stark -You guys remember that arc right?

5. Jessica Drew Spider-Woman is tehre

6. Hawkeye is gone replaced by female Ronin

Then and ONLY then will Miles Spiderman fit showing that the Avengers does not have to be the original version but could be new fresh and exciting. But wait what happen to Peter and the others? Why Hopefully Marvel studio will get their Fantastic Four back and boost it with the following line up.

1. Hulk replaces thing

2. Spiderman replaces Johnny

3. Susan Storm stays

4. Iron man replaces Mr. Fantastic.

That would be new fresh and exciting! Bucking against expectation and the grain! AND it all happens in comics, of course they had wolverine replace the Invisible Woman but X-Men is doing well with Fox so no chances of that happening.

However Josh Whedon appear to be a classic comic guy who is rebooting the stories in unique way. I don't think he would mess with the Peter Parker formula yet.
