James Gunn has been removed as director of the Guardians Of The Galaxyseries after a batch of old social media dispatches were unearthed that touched on areas like pedophilia and rape. In the latest shocking #metoo development in the entertainment industry, Gunn was severed from the Marvel Comics Universe after a slew of social media posts he wrote before getting Guardians of the Galaxy surfaced. According to Fox News, they were posted because Gunn is an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump and the effort was to knock him down a few pegs.

There is no other way. Once those old tweets have come to light there is no choice by Disney here. Is the whole GotG crew just gonna act like nothing? Hundreds if not thousands of people and the actors. Talk about an awkward first day of shooting. Its really harsh stuff aswell, things you dont "joke" about.

He may have grown up and not do or even thikn about writing stuff like that anymore, but the damage has been done.

That stated, yes the right wanted to see if Disney would hold themselves to the same standard when they fired Roseanne Barr. My opinion: this tit for tat shit needs to stop. I don't consider Barr and Gunn to be two peas in the same pot tbh... Barr had a history of her behavior and then she let it continue with a new update, one she apparently repeated today. With Gunn however a bunch of people went mining in the septic tank of ancient twitter posts to unearth some very old and very bad jokes.

The things you're comparing are nothing like this. Downey's personal struggles, watching anime porn and appearing nude in films (I especially don't see what the latter two have to do with anything) don't compare to thousands of tweets about how he likes to molest little boys and rape. He's a grown man, not a fourteen year old, and he posted that stuff online for the world to see, he gets what he gets and he deserves it.
