Four Characters We Want To See Return To The DC Universe

Totally agree about Jade, Ragman, and Renee Montoya. I think if you want to bring Jade and Obsidian back, the best way would be as displaced members of the old universe who somehow survived flashpoint and end up on Earth 2. Sure, a gay man can have children, but as young as Scott is now they would have to be 10 years old or under.

Other characters I'd like to see: Aqualad (Jackson Hyde), Mal Duncan, Black Condor, Vera Black, The Heckler, and Elongated Man (I would have been happy to have Ralph stay dead in the old continuity, but now that everything has been rebooted, if they don't bring him back, I'm pretty sure that means he never existed). And yes, I'll be a broken record and throw in Wally West.

Interesting choices and I wouldn't mind the return of any of these characters. However, I'd really like to see more of...

Count Vertigo - He's got everything to be a brilliant super-villain: Background story, money, interesting powers and gadgets, leadership, cool outfit and name.

Hush - What are the odds Snyder will bring back Hush?

Nightshade, and basically any member of the Shadowpact. These characters would fit perfectly to some of The Edge comics.

Secret Six - My favorite team.

I know Death's probably coming back, soon given that whole new Neil Gaiman/Sandman mini on it's way... It just gave me an excuse to post my Death cover. But, interesting choices, Sara... Ragman's awesome. I loved when Kelly Jones drew him in Batman way back in the mid-late 90s.

Bring back all the missing characters back in their own team book! Hahaha!

I do wonder if they ever try to reintroduce Jade and Obsidian, how'd they go about it. Would they be the adopted children of Alan Scott? Would they retcon Robinson's work? Would he somehow be cloned? Could they come from the old universe? These are the important questions.

Also I kind of wonder why Renee isn't being used anywhere. They keep introducing Gotham Cops that basically are her but the writers aren't allowed to use her so they're keeping her on the burner for a reason

So if they bring Obsidian bag will Robinson make him straight for the lulz?

Wally West and Stephanie Brown without a doubt.

Now that Miracle and Barda are back I would love to see a young Shilo Norman on Earth 2.

The justice society Dr Fate was Hector Hall for a short while. Hank Hall is part of Hawk and Dove. If there is a reboot of the Silver Scarab, will probably not be related to Hawkman.

You didn't mention Shadowpact in the Ragman bit?
And one can hope Rucka's pet character doesn't come back.

I never thought I would say it but I freaking miss pre new 52 I'm starting to dislike new 52 they're sooooooamy characters and great stories that are obsolete, DC comics keeps saying a lot of the events still happen but it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. They could have merged the three universes made a whole bunch of costume changes and personality changes without rebooting and erasing so many damn great characters!

@ovidkid: YES! I miss Stephanie Brown. They gave not one reason to erase her existence. Is she going to be the new robin, or what? Wally has a hard position though, as he became flash because of Barry's dissapearance, and he can't exactly be Kid Flash...so...

we have Hawkwoman back. just crappy version though. i definitely agree about Pru, Sasha, jade, Cass, and M'gann. sadly, i have not read much with most of these other characters.

Other then Jade I think all the characters you said we're throw away, and I could care less if I ever see them again. I was Wally and Donna please.

i wouldn't say that. seeing as how this is opinion. and not including those characters doesnt mean they dont want Wally and co. back. it just means that they chose t give the spotlight to lesser known but still desired characters instead of just repeating the choices that Viners regurgitate every waking moment of everyday.

So rather than having choices indicative of the community at large, we're instead shown characters that solely the staff are interested in? Yeah, that sounds like CV.

Yup, definitely miss Montoya. I miss Tim's previous Red Robin book, Stephanie's was also pretty good (though that arc with the college kids with powered suits was kind of dumb). It would be nice to have a Static series that wasn't terrible, at least give him a team-up arc in a Cyborg book (if that ever happens).

Thunder and Lightning are in The Ravagers currently (although now a male/female duo). I'm guessing some of these other characters mentioned will eventually appear in Earth-2.

Totally agree! I'm saying this as a reader of many New 52 titles just that section on the absence of Renee Montoya makes me see how the New 52 was really poorly done in many areas.

I find the lack of Plastic Man disturbing.
