I would have taken him if he exhibited lightning redirection. I assume he knows it, but since it hasn't been shown I wouldn't be able to argue for it really.
I am still thoroughly disappointed in the skill level of this new avatar cast. They have some cute tricks but are still be defeated by people with no powers. In a snow storm the avatar actually ran from Amon!!! With the environment at her disposal, she should have made short work of him. Aangs son has done nothing. Toph's daughter is the best but still constantly getting beat. How many more losses until they get it together????

Understandable. Paralyzing tongue would come in handy. But June herself is good. From what we do see of her she beats huge dudes in arm wrestling and easily takes out a bunch of fighters. One who is dressed like Ryu fro SF so he must be good :P

No, not really. When it comes to ass-kicking General Iroh provides the most really. There's just some important plot elements I wouldn't want to spoil for you.
Also Korra ran away because she was exhausted and wasn't in good shape to fight, plus she feared Amon because at that point no one even knew who or what he was and what he could do. Katara wouldhave likely fled in the same situation.

@Lunacyde: My main man Iroh is gonna be seen??? That's worth it right there. I'll give it to her that she was tired. But even when healthy this team is not looking good. The brothers are more comic relief and love interest then potent fighters. I still have faith Aang son is gonna go off. Toph daughter has gotten beaten in 4 episodes more than Toph did in the whole series. But the original cast didn't start off invincible either.......so i'll give it time. I was really hoping to see Katara vs the bloodbending dude. Old school vs new school. but that won't be happening.
@Ferro Vida: Haha actually no....is that mentioned there? i just remember in the Episode they use her to track down uncle the guy whos ass she kicks whithout spilling her drink is dressed like ryu.

Yeah it was the first thing me and my friends noticed watching it a while back lol. The problem is that she is only ever shown actually fighting in that one scene....and in that one scene she embodied everything I want from a kick-ass chick.
