Each week we search high and low for the coolest comic book art that won't actually appear in comics. The reason is artists often draw sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their Tumblrs, blogs and websites. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites.
With the end of the year coming up and the holiday season, some artists have been a little busy and haven't posted too much on their sites. But the good news is we still found some really great pieces.
Are you a fan of Doctor Who? Did you watch Matt Smith's final episode? Check out this great pic that Rod Reis posted on his Tumblr.
Brett Booth posted a couple new sketches on his blog this week.
Mahmud Asrar posted some commissions and a sketch for a friend on his Tumblr.
Marcio Takara posted a couple commissions of Moto Kusanagi and Sinestro on his Tumblr.
Check out the Hellboy pic Yildiray Cinar posted on his Instagram.
Joel Gomez posted some more sketch cards on his Tumblr.
Mike McKone posted a couple sketches on his Twitter page.
Chris Burnham posted this Joker and Batman pic he drew for his nephew on his Twitter page.
Tom Raney posted a couple commissions on his Twitter page as well.
Chris Giarrusso posted some new art on his website.
And when he originally posted this Deathstroke doing the Fastball Special with Miffy, I couldn't resist and am now the proud owner of it.
You can always count on Todd Nauck to post some new sketches on his Tumblr.
That's it for this week. Hope everyone has a great holiday season and a Happy New Year.
