    Back Blurb

    YOU CAN'T ESCAPE YOUR FAMILY

Dick Grayson, Batman's former ward, must now embrace his destiny alone as the high-flyer Nightwing. Haly's Circus, where Dick grew up and performed under the big top, returns to Gotham City, bringing it with murder, mystery and superhuman mayhem. Nightwing must confront his past, among former friends and enemies from his circus days, while confronting a greater evil.

As he puts pressure on ex-Haly connections in search of answers about his past, one lead may be far too explosive to handle. With the help of Barbara Gordon (who masquerades as Batgirl), Nightwing uncovers the true nature of the circus and how it relates to his long-dead parents, the Flying Graysons. To complicate matters further, he must face off against mysterious villain Saiko, a skilled assassin who has vowed to destroy Nightwing once and for all.

Meet Gotham's young defender in NIGHTWING: TRAPS AND TRAPEZES --- collecting issues #1-7 --- brought to you by the combined talents of writer KYLE HIGGINS (BATMAN: GATES OF GOTHAM) and artist EDDY BARROWS (SUPERMAN).

Nightwing (The New 52) Volume 1: Traps and Trapezes 0

Nightwing (The New 52) Vol 1: Traps and TrapezesAs this was the first comic I had brought myself as an adult (just from the shear cover art and what little I knew from the character already) I bought this with no expectation whatsoever. I knew roughly who Nightwing was through Young Justice (animated TV series) and from general knowledge. As I began to read Nightwing I quickly became entertained and enthralled by Dick Grayson. For people that are new to Nightwing or Dick Grayson, to summarize hi...

Sometimes losing footing in those traps and trapezes. 0

Dick Grayson is back to being Nightwing, after he spent at least a year as Batman while Bruce Wayne was out of the picture. He remains in Gotham City fighting crime. The old circus he use to perform for called Haley's Circus, is back in town for the first time since his parents were murdered there. Plus there's a killer by the name of Saiko hunting Dick Grayson and not Nightwing. Grayson seeks to learn the identity of this killer and why he's hunting him. -summary In the mid to late 2000's, DC ...

Winging It Doesn't Always Work 0

After years of seeing DC as the inferior of the two comic giants, this was the unfortunate choice of comics to pick up. And though I now clearly see the merits DC has to offer, it is only through the stain left by this. Possibly one of my least favorite comics ever, this is frankly an unenjoyable work in general. The story itself is rife with cliches; there's the "old life vs new life" cliche, the "childhood friend romance" cliche, the "girlfriend jealous of other female friend" cliche, the "vil...
