    DC was originally created for the Japanese TV show Gosei Sentai Dairanger in 1993, a monster known as Lady Necklace. Appearing in five episodes. When the show was adapted for a Western audience as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season two, the character was renamed to DC and given a much smaller role. Only briefly appearing over two episodes as a villain in the White Light two-parter.

    In Gosei Sentai Dairanger, Lady Necklace was portrayed by Yukari Nakayama. In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, DC had no speaking role.

    DC made their first appearance in the two-parter episode White Light in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season two. Acting as one of the first major villains that Tommy Oliver fought against after acquiring the White Ranger powers. Alongside AC, DC was summoned by Nimrod to aid in his fight against the new White Ranger. Only to be swiftly defeated by Tommy and his new Zord.

    Comic

    DC played a similar role to his TV show counterpart in the comic retelling of the White Light story arc during the Necessary Evil story arc. However, posed a larger threat in comparison.
