Robot Chicken Teams Up With DC Comics This Fall

Seth Green unveils plans to bring DC Comics characters to Cartoon Network.

Seth Green is responsible for creating a lot of things that you really love -- including some of your favorite shows on Adult Swim (Robot Chicken, anyone?). To many, he's considered a sort of reigning Prince of geek culture, so when news broke that Green was developing a new segment for Adult Swim featuring many DC Comics, hardly anyone was really surprised.

Earlier today Green announced that he would be teaming up with Warner Brothers Animation and DC Comics for a "one-time special taking place within the universe that features the likes of Superman, Batman and Lois Lane." The segment would likely air on Cartoon Network sometime this fall, and would feature the voice talents of Megan Fox as Lois Lane, Paul Reubens as Riddler, Green as Batman, Aquaman and Robin, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern and Neil Patrick Harris as Two-Face.

Clearly, DC Entertainment is trying to give DC characters a new edge, and this is certainly one way to do it. Writer and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics Geoff Johns sounded really positive about the upcoming project, and hinted at the direction that this hour-long show might take.

Who knows, maybe if this show is a success; we'll see more DC and Adult Swim team-ups. What do you think? Do you think this is a good idea? Is this something you would like to see?
