Can the team work together to defeat a new threat?
Young Justice has survived their first battle against Cadmus and now it's time for the team to adjust to their new situation. This is a team that basically fell into place when Robin, Kid Flash and Aqualad stumbled upon Superboy. Now with Miss Martian on the team as well, they really need to start to get to know each other if they want to have a chance out on the battlefield.
One of the great things about this episode is there are still ties to the first two. An encounter with Roy Harper leaves you wondering what will happen the next time their paths cross. We find out why the adult heroes chose Mount Justice for the young team, even though it's location isn't exactly a secret. The best part of this episode is the characterization. Robin is fearless yet as the youngest member, you do see a touch of his immaturity. Although, Robin's immaturity is nothing compared to Kid Flash's. Wally basically has one thing on his mind and it's funny seeing how Robin reacts to Wally's comments. The Superboy we have here is still fresh out of the cloning tube. He's doing his best to adjust to his new life and freedom while figuring out how he's suppose to interact with the others. Miss Martian is almost in the same situation as she is completely out of the loop when it comes to Earth's customs. Aqualad is the anchor of the team. So far, he has remained calm throughout everything.
What about villains and the overall episode? == TEASER == Get ready for...Mr. Twister! We see a few villains in Welcome to Happy Harbor. In the beginning Brick shows up as his illegal activities on the docks are called into question. The main villain chosen for the team's first official battle was an interesting choice. Mister Twister is probably as unknown to you as he was to them. His appearance here sets up a couple plot points and ends the episode with a tease of what's to come (I won't spoil what villain makes an appearance at the very end).
Another great thing about the premise of the show is the fact that Red Tornado is the adult that is watching over them. You would think he should be one of the last choice in being a guardian for the young heroes. Being an android, the Red Tornado we see here is completely cold and unfeeling. He is there to look over the team and guide them when necessary but he also strangely doesn't mind when the team decides to go for a ride in Miss Martian's ship. He will not be a kind and caring role model. That could be both good and bad for the kids. There were a lot of cool little elements to the episode that shows how much promise this series has. I can't say I was crazy about the choice of villain but it does make sense. The team is learning how to get along and work together so it makes sense that they wouldn't go up against a deadly villain the first time out. There's also the villain that shows up at the end which adds more sense to the choice. I might not have enjoyed this episode as much as the first two but the show is off to a great start.

O MAN THIS IS AWESOME!!! I am having a total nerdgasm. The producers really know there stuff. The first time in the Comics The Teen Titans got together it was in Brave in The Bold no.54! It featured just Aqualad, Robin, and Kid Flash. Just like how the first time this team got together it was only Aqualad, Robin and Kid Flash! Now in Band The Bold no.54 They fight Mr. Twister! So the first villain they ever faced was Mr. Twister and now the first villain these guys are facing is Mr. Twister. Even though they aren't called The Teen Titans you can not deny the obvious tribute.
@RYU/BATMAN: I remember the Cave location from the JLA series in the early 90s. I don't remember it being called Mount Justice and can't seem to find that location in our database here.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Teen Titans appear near the end of the season. My vision for these Titans would be a rogue team of young metahumans, with no members in any way related to the JLA.

What about with the Justice League and the Justice Society of America? When they needed answers for something in the comics and the team was holding hands around the table? Wasn't that when the cave first appeared?
I thought the kid flash was BArt Allen Because it says he was a founding member of young justice and how did they know it was Wally I don't think they said any of there names.
Didn't the Young Justice comic start out in a cave?
Also as much as I enjoyed the show, I wish Robin was Tim Drake and Kid Flash was Bart Allen.
they were the ones in the comic. I am getting tired of every rendition of Robin being Dick Grayson- when he's Batman and has been Nightwing since I was a kid.
What bothers me is that they all look so pissed off and angry. Young Justice the comic was lighthearted a majority of the time often poking fun at teenage angst and stuff. The serious moments of the lighthearted comic was what, to me, made it so great. Because amongst all the fun, there could be a serious situation thrown in like Cissie almost killing someone, etc. This show, all I've seen so far is so serious it forgets the actual source material :(

You should check out his appearances in "Batman: The Brave and the Bold". He has a couple of main episodes and some fun cameos, and they delve a lot into his character.
Well if the series is called Young Justice, then it's good that they carried over Red Tornado from the comics to here. And they definitely did use the abandoned Justice League Cave in Happy Harbor during the beginning of that series too. Man, I miss the lighthearted YJ under PAD.
That's an interesting take on Mr. Twister. You won't believe who's voicing him-John De Lancie! They also announced these cast members and their characters: -Vanessa Marshall as Black Canary -Jeff Bennet as Red Tornado AND T.O. Morrow -Peter MacNicol as Professor Ivo AND Amazo -Arnold Vosloo as Kobra -Nick Chinlund as the Sportsmaster -Danny Trejo as Bane In the preview clip, Khary Payton plays Brick.
Bennet seems to pop up anytime Greg Weisman is working on a cartoon. Apparently, he isn't the only Gargoyles alum making it onto Young Justice. Marina Sirtis is playing Queen Bee.

Robin was annoying in the first 2 episodes. His laugh just killed me, I hated it. Batman wouldn't have Robin acting like suck a little kid even tho he is one.
The original Young Justice series had Red Tornado as their mentor and they were in the JLA's first cave base. Mr. twister is also one of the first enemies that fought the original teen titans.
@G-Man: It was called the secret sanctuary and was in Happy Harbour. It was also the very first headquarters of the league. The original young justice then rediscovered the cave and used it as their base of operations.
