This past weekend, Captain America: The Winter Soldier had a record-breaking opening. If you haven't seen the movie, hopefully you've managed to avoid the big spoilers. There will be some minor ones below.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is facing some pretty big changes. Of course that means Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will also be affected.

What we are about to see this week is a crossover between the movie and TV show. While we sort of had on after Thor: The Dark World, this one will be a more direct crossover. This week's episode, "Turn, Turn, Turn," airing Tuesday, April 8 at 8 p.m EST/PST, Agent Coulson and his team will come face-to-face with the Clairvoyant and will have to deal with the greatest threat of all, one that will hit closer to home than they ever imagined.

MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - "Turn, Turn, Turn" - Coulson and his team find themselves without anyone they can trust, only to discover that they are trapped with a traitor in their midst, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, APRIL 8 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. I fell behind and was going to catch up but they removed some of the episodes from the website. Now I can't watch anything until DVD releases. :(

I hated the first 10 or so episodes of this show. Now, I love it.

Wondering how they're gonna handle this. This sort of forces everyone to go out and watch Winter Soldier, I suppose. In that regard it's pretty good marketing, but then there'll be people who get Winter Soldier spoiled for them because the big reveal is showing up on MAOS a week later.

I know they've done this kind of thing before with Thor and what not, but this one will have to be a little deeper as the big reveal in Winter Soldier is...sort of a huge thing.

Still, I'll be curious to see how this all affects the show.

From what I've heard, apparently they were kind of hamstrung by the cinematic universe in the beginning since they knew these changes were coming and had to bide their time. That was why the show started with all the less than stellar baddie of the week episodes.

Yes and no. After the MUCH overhyped Coulson survival episode, it gets better. All the drama and storylines are still spread out way to far. But the subplots are at least interesting.

I guess that's still better than Arrow. Yeah, I said it!

I'm very interested to see how this turns out. I think Cap 2 is now my favorite Marvel movie now, seriously epic stuff. It will have to have a big impact on this show. I think the show has been getting better as the season progresses, kinda like the first season of Arrow, hopefully it will hit its stride in the second season just like Arrow has.

Show still sux. If anything, they should use the events of the movie as an excuse to cancel this crap.

I bet the Asian chick (the one in the last pick) that Coulson has a past with, and who he convinced to join his little rag-tag band of merry men is the HYDRA double agent.

@allstarsuperman: It's gotten better, I enjoy but I wouldn't go as far to say its the most amazing show ever. You have to like Coulson though if you don't its hard to get invested. Most of the sub plots have gotten thicker and it'll be interesting to see how they play out. The majority of the cast has started to flesh out are more enjoyable to watch Ward and Skye are getting better but still tend to be the less interesting characters. I think this next season though is going to be very interesting after the events of Cap 2. Also all the comic book nods and character inclusions have been pretty good so far.

This show is amazing.

Might as well keep it. There is so much on Netflix that I need to watch anyway.

Gonna be epic! Hope to see the returns of Blizzard and Graviton, who (along with Deathlok) should be working for Hydra to exact revenge on Coulson's team for what they did to them (and I think that will probably happen, since the producers said they're tying up all loose ends).

Damn, going to have to skip it due to not having time to see cap 2 yet.

I enjoyed captain america but I still dont expect much from this show.

@alkusanagi: that dosen't give them a pass for failing to really explore the characters though in that time, which has been my continued biggest hang up with this show. OK you can't go all comic booky that's fine but you still can make good televsion and drama.

So it's not enough Marvel makes a lot of freakin tie ins in the comics, now you can't even watch a stupid episdoe without watching a movie before hand...oh well I dropped the show after episode 3 anyway.

The name of the episode is "Turn Turn Turn"? I wonder if they will be turning on the left? Anyway never got into the show. To me so far the most exciting thing that has happened was the Fury cameo.

They need to kill off Ming-Na Wen's character. She ruins this show.

This show has gotten a little better. The last episode definitely had me on the edge of my seat. I'm actually excited to see how the movie effects it.

I like Mae. She adds a dynamic to the show none of the other characters have.

My question is, how does Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. even go on with S.H.I.E.L.D. being put out of the picture Captain America?

It still seems mediocre as hell to me. Improved a little, but still lame.

Cancel this Crap. I tried to get back into it with the Sif episode but it was f*cking AWFUL

Would be a heckua twist if Simmons the self-professed "worst liar" is actually a Hydra agent. It would break my heart.

I don't know. Maybe they'll become the Secret Avengers(but that's just my opinion).

I really hope this is the shot in the arm the show needs. I think it's improved vastly from the first few episodes, but they need to step it up because they're still losing viewers. Back when the show was first announced, I never imagined it would be on the bubble for a second season. Although honestly, I think if they can squeeze three seasons out of it, that'll be enough.

I just can't watch a Marvel show with no notable characters. Coulson isn't enough to carry this for me. I do have the episode with Sif on my DVR that has yet to be watched.

Also Nick Fury is going to return for the season finale, maybe he will reveal he is planning to bring SHIELD back.

SHIELD isn't dead..it's just gonna have a civil war or sorts. The Triskelion was just one base of operations. They still have the HUB, the Sandbox, the school/schools. One part was decimated, the word of Hydra is out, so there will be a battle and a purge of the bad stuff. SHIELD is battered, bruised, but will heal.

What are you complaining about? you don't watch the show, but you're worried that you must watch the movie before? Marvel uses Tie-ins? shoot, that's never happened. Just watch the movie and watch the show or don't.

its pretty hard to care what happens to any of them, even coulson.

well it already felt like Shield didn't actually exist in this series.

I guess its going to become a full blown Scooby Doo/A-Team show for season 2. it will also be a great excuse for the lower budget it will have to have season 2. if they are gonna do a second season there is no point continuing to make a show as expensive as this if its going to get low ratings.

Agents of SHIELD is the best thing to watch on a Friday night after doing a day's worth of hard work for me so I'm not too fussed if it carries on or ends. It hasn't been the best TV show interconnected with the MCU and it could do a lot of things better but it's certainly not the worst. It's just meh in all honesty.

Well I will say this, the show certainly has picked up steam. It's been an ambitious venture linking the Cinematic universe to this show. Marvel is really thinking big. And then adding the Neflix shows. Personally I can't wait to see how this turns out.

@jaken7: Nope and you won't see it coming @ who the double agent is. I am personally hoping there is another twist with regards to the double agent that could redeem them later on.

Turn, Turn, Turn is a great episode. It ties right in with Captain America 2. This episode will keep you guessing and have you wanting more after it is over. The twists and turns are great. It is a perfect episode to watch after seeing Captain America 2 to find out what is happening in the Marvel Universe after the events in the movie. I can't believe not one of the mediators here at Comicvine has not posted a review of the episode yet.
