    Mystique Must Be Kidding!!

another great turn in Iceman's chronically volatile get-togethers with a certain anybody. every installment has read as pivotal so far, and this ones not so off the mark. i feel a endearment in the banter at this point though, which is more animated than before. really matches the art style though. and the twists are kinda gleeful - so its an even trade. i can probably spell the second story out as Mercury lamenting her power set - instead of trying in vain for a heart to heart with Laura. X-23s cunning takes a novel turn though, and coughs up enough solace to turn that frown upside down. its angst-y in spots, and clockwork(ed) in others..and manages a bunch of artful charm. Nightcrawlers obviously featured too, since hes on the cover. the narrative takes it back to a classic setting, while giving it a more modern depth. youre not gonna mistake the action as a red herring. but youre not gonna take them lightly for that fact either. love both the art, and warm wrap-up. the format cant be easy, but the character work is well placed/paced.
