The Fall of The Mutants. Volume one.

I bought this large volume this past week. I planned on treating myself to what i have missed in my youth. I had thoughts of rich character interaction, day dreams of deep and meaningful writing, plot twist that would have me flipping back pages and rereading ! I was let down...i found this volume to be a large book of filler and indeed a waste of time. The first issue in this trade we find Storm looking for Forge. Storm traveled back to Dallas Texas seeking help from Forge even after he broke her heart and of course after his neutralize (i think ) ray / gun / whatever 86ed her powers. In the pages of this issue, Storm, does a lot of mindless thought bubbling over Forge...again and again with the Forge. By pages 5-6, Storm is going on about Forge and how he can create things...blah blah Forge, Forge broke my heart and trust blah blah blah. I truly thought this is how a 14 year old girl thinks. So i put this tome down and i did a little thinking. I looked for some positive things. I reflected on how comic writing had changed over the years. So i talked myself into picking it back up. I knocked it out that night and stuck it on my shelf. Taking away only one thing from my reading...comic writing has truly changed over the years.
