Watchmen is a twelve-issue comic book limited series created by writer Alan Moore, artist Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins. The grouping of heroes and villains contained in the work are not, in fact, named "The Watchmen", though they were at one point referred to as "Crimebusters". Rorschach, Nite Owl and Dr. Manhattan were the team's primary heroes.
We're getting close and closer to the March 6 release date. In case you've missed it, Watchmen is pretty much all over the place. I've even seen ads on the sides of buses. I have to say, when I first read it, I never thought I'd see that happen.
Watchmen TV spots have also been popping up more and more. I think I might've only posted the first two. So here's the latest three. You may have seen them but the more I watch them, the more anxious I get to seeing how the movie will turn out.
I just wonder if Alan Moore is still avoiding seeing anything that has to do with it at all costs. I imagine him cursing at his television when a commercial comes on (not that he'd necessarily be watching programming that would be running them).
To say I am anxious to see this is an understatement. Yup, I agree G-Man, I never thought a movie would have been in the works for this, but when I first read it, I did fantasize about the possibility.
Now, it's a reality. I'm not even watching any more promos or commercials simply because I want to see the movie at the theatre....not on the web or TV. That's just me.
One does have to wonder about Alan Moore, and his name and the whole DC rigamarole will be plastered in the media again. He's probably at home stroking his beard and doing something with herbs ( which I DON'T cadone, even though I am evil). Will he see any royalty checks?
