Perfect Timing
The TBolts have there backs against the wall as they face off against Sin's amphibious foot soldiers. As if that wasn't enough the Underbolts decide to make a break for it at a rather inopportune moment.
The Good
Declan Shalvey's not on art this issue!!! Hallelujah!!! Instead art duties are split between Valentine De Landro/Matthew Southworth. Both turn in pretty solid work and their styles are similar enough that when the transition occurs it's not the least bit distracting.
This issue's packed with wall to wall action and that really works to it's advantage. Seeing both teams cut loose was great and it was a much more interesting battle then when they faced off against the zombies a few issues back.
Satanna's quickly becoming my favorite new addition to the team and her interaction with Moonstone's always great. These two women play off each other so well. They actually get along with one another this issue, which was a bit strange but made for some truly entertaining happenings. They both wield a subtle influence over Man-Thing and it was interesting to see them work in tandem rather then fight one another over it.
Mr. Hyde is absolutely insane...and is a terrible influence on Gunna in the best way possible!
Man-Thing's latest evolution opens up some very interesting future story possibilities. It's already made the conclusion of this issue rather interesting. Out of the frying pan into the fire as they say.
The Underbolts take advantage of the chaos in Chicago to make their big move, but they won't be moving out alone.
The Bad
This cover's a bit bland to me
If you just started reading TBolts during Fear Itself then you'll likely not catch all the various plot points and references in this issue.
The Verdict
Buy This Comic!
This issue is everything you can want in a Tbolts comic. It's got action, comedy, smart writing, and twist and turns. In fact the only thing missing from this one is Walker on art.
