The new god of Thunder is a (censored)!?

Usually after a character dead I feel like “meh….” But also depends on who it is, deaths like Johnny storm has meaning which created the new FF with new costumes, new member (Spidey) and new ideas. There are others which don’t even last a year which is just silly…..unless the death was unnecessary or is just their time to come back. But for this one after reading fear itself 7.2, I got interested in this new guy who seems to come out from the ashes of the fallen thor. Who is he? Why does everyone seem to know him? Why do they accept him? Is he the sentry in disguise? Since well.....self inserting into the lives of almost everyone from the Marvel U while we knowing that is all bull is kinda his thing (yes, I hated the sentry and I’m glad he is still dead). This issue may not be perfect, but it sets things up for new storylines and it’s good since we get to see origin of this new guy.

We get to see the new Asgard being build in the human world as Taranus saves a worker as we are shown that something has replaced everyone’s memories about Thor with Tanarus as it’s believed for him to had been a founding member of the avengers, a hero who has been throughout history as the mightiest hero of earth. But Loki just like us knows something is going on. He knows this isn’t his brother who he seems to hate before and now care for. And he goes finding this creepy woman who seems to know something as well as some witchest who seem to reveal to him his real brother’s name. as we progress, we see that the new asgard "asgardia" will no be a democracy since apperantly Odin's monarchy sucked.....no....(censored).....later we see Tanarus fighting a blue monster in a similar fashion as the original god of thunder would (except he has a staff instead of a hammer) but he is transported with a troll king and reveals this new guy is truly a famous Thor enemy. While in the meantime, the original god of thunder is in a boat with other dead gods who are about to be eaten by monstruo the whale!!!.....yeah right I wish.....did I say the silver surfer now works at a restaurant which he got the job by saying how awesome he is?....that was funny.

(P.S. I'm not telling what Tanarus truly is because well.......I don't know who that guy is, I just know he exists but i was shocked that he wasn't what he truly was physically)

    The Good:

The art is enjoyable to look at. I like the “new” god of thunder’s design. He might look like a troll (giggle) but he has a nice suit of armor and his weapon which has no name yet, looks interesting and I want to see how he can fight with it besides throwing it around like thor used to do it. Also this issue reminds me sorta like the new green lantern series (or season 2 like I call it) as Thor is still present even after dead and it seem the book will be shared by both gods of thunder till the day both meet…..and it will be glorious if something epic comes out of it.

    The Bad:

For people who might had gotten interested in this new change in the book and want to read about it. Is not essential but fear itself 7.2 kinda helps before starting this one and there is some confusing stuff about the witches and I wish I can actually see how this new storyline develops a little bit more. The ideas are there but not developed enough for us to want to see more of one of them.

    Overall: 4/5

Not a bad issue, people might not like it because this will feel like a scam. But it’s a nice story and idea. And I hope something great will come out of it.

THE GOODIt was nice to see the update on the Silver Surfer, though I am depressed that he is working as a short order cook in Broxton, OK. Since he is still in the story, I am hoping for something more out of this strange version of my favorite character. The Loki part of the story is keeping my faith in this arc alive - that is if they can keep it more serious than foolhardy. I am keeping hope alive that this and the other story lines quickly align, like New Asgard unites under the All-Mother(s...

The Mighty Thor #3 Review 0

Fear Itself is over, The Serpent is gone, and So is Thor. Or is he?This issue is the introduction to Tanarus, the new God of Thunder. When Thor died, Tanarus replaced him, and now everyone remembers him as the Avenger and son of Odin instead of Thor, except Loki of course.I was on the fence after hearing about the concept, and this issue really didn't make me want to pick up the next issue and find out what will happen next. Obviously there would be a twist to who Tanarus really is, and we find ...
