Here is the full arcticle.
It seems DC is further delaying the last two issues BUT with no new dates releashed.
D@mn you Jim Lee... It's ASB&R all over again with the only difference this time being that the story is interesting.
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18942 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Superman Unchained #8 And #9 Cancelled… For Now
@squalleon: ug! that's horrible...
It is a nice series, but these delays are getting to be a pain.
@lvenger get in here buddy
To be completely honest, GET A NEW ARTIST. Jim Lee's New 52 work isn't anything overly spectacular that you can't replace him. This really is All Star all over again.
With issue #6 cementing my overall disappointment with this book, I don’t even really care anymore. At very least Kuder and Daniels can keep their schedule.
Gonna call in @allstarsuperman in as well.

I love this series but this situation is completely disrespectful to the reader who was supporting you all this time. It's a shame because it is an exciting series but the issues are getting further and further from each other, I mean the 8th issue will be releashed in JULY at best.
@arturocalakayvee: My approximate reaction to this news upon you notifying me
Seriously what the actual ****? Why the hell would DC delay one of the best selling and best written Superman series just to let Jim Lee get off his ass to finish the art for this series? And again I'm mad BECAUSE I love this series so damn much. The writing is great, the pacing is decent and the characterisation is very good. But when the art, awesome as it is, takes this long to finish, it really takes the reader out the series. Especially given how long one has to wait. And I haven't even read issue 6 yet since the delivery is taking so damn long.
Anyway thanks for calling me out AK (trying to think of a abbreviation of your user name :P) I appreciate you notifying me of this news.
Hold on guys Snyder has made an announcement on Twitter about this news. I'll post the screen caps and you can go to his Twitter to see the extra image
@arturocalakayvee@squalleon@sanohibiki@kal_smahboi: @allstarsuperman Thought you guys might want to see what Snyder has to say for himself.
@squalleon: No it does not. But at least he's apologising for the delays on Twitter unlike SOME people. Plus Snyder is legitimately busy with Batman, Batman Eternal, American Vampire: Second Cycle and Wytches so he at least has an excuse for his delays. Finally, the summer release comment means that hopefully, these two issues will be out by at least September if we're lucky enough to get them. Just trying to shed some light on this awfully handled piece of shade.
Wasn’t Snyder just recently saying that he already planned all plotlines, etc, and now it’s only Jim Lee who drags this book?
Nevertheless, this actually looks like SM Unchained will be finished in this year. I was starting to worry.
@sanohibiki: He never admitted that Jim Lee dragged the book but he did say he had the plans all worked out. It seems his other projects have taken a different turn. But again, as I said, that's more permissible because he's working on 4 books compared to Jim Lee's 1 book.
Maybe they'll release an annual in six months time written by somebody else to finish the arc.
Ouch.
Maybe they'll release an annual in six months time written by somebody else to finish the arc.
Out of curiosity, in which title did that happen?
@lvenger: Ah, OK. At least the final issues will be extra pretty to make up for it. We've definitely waited long enough.
@kal_smahboi: That is literally the only reason I haven't flown off the handle. The first 5 issues have been very good and I hope the sixth one is good too. Still waiting for it to arrive in the post along with the rest of March's comics...
@lvenger: I don't think you'll be disappointed by #6. Just really can't wait for 7 now haha.

Batwoman.
@kal_smahboi: That's good to hear :)
@lvenger: You probably know I am not the biggest fan, but issue 6 has been one of the bests imo. I think 2 was the best IIRC. This delay does suck, but I absolutely don't want a new artist, Unchained has it's look, and it should stay that way.
This should be the end of the hype for Jim Lee. Any time he is announced for a book fandom should react with a collective yaaaaaaaawwwnnnnn from now on.
Uh oh even more bad news. The DC site entry for Superman Unchained 7 says that the issue will be released on April 30th but the Diamond Comics Distributor solicit for the issue states that Superman Unchained 7 will be released on May 14th instead. This is still not good release scheduling from DC at all.
@allstarsuperman: 4 was my personal favourite myself. And agreed but the delays are obviously taking its toll on the series.
@lvenger: 4 was the one with Lois getting involved while Superman was in Tokyo or wherever, correct? Another thing I just noticed is its schedule is the exact same as Kick-Ass 3, IIRC both released in June and they are only up to issue 6.
@allstarsuperman: Yeah I really enjoyed how Lois got a central part to the mystery of the plot, Lex being portrayed as the sneering sinister mastermind he is and Superman and Wraith getting a creative and well handled action sequence.
@lvenger: don't forget machine gun heat vision, that was pretty cool.
@allstarsuperman: Dat splash page (drools at the sight of it)
DC website still has SU issue 7 to come out on the 30th April and issue 8 to come out on the 28th of June...this is turning things mega-confusing but at least Snyder has given us a glimmer of hope in actually finishing this series up eventually.

I don't think issue 8 has been confirmed yet and

Haha, Kayvee (or just KV) is a good cut, that's my pro name anyways :P.
Would you be opposed to the last two issues getting a completely different artist? Even though that most likely isn't happening.
They should, imo, get another artist at this point. Jim Lee's art really hasn't been worth the wait.
I just read this. . . I don't know what to say.
How about this. . . not only is this a problem for fans and the reputation of the creative team, but this is also an egregious disrespect to Superman, since there was so much hype surrounding this title and the 75th celebration of the World's First Superhero! It sounds like both creators weren't really able to commit from the beginning since this isn't the first series of delays on the title. This wasn't just a comic to me it was in honor of 75 years of a great character and placing 2 of DC finest the title was an indication of how they wanted to honor the legacy and longevity of Superman.
Now let's watch all of Batman's new initiatives come off without a hitch for his 75th.
EFFIN BS
Called it. Nobody should be shocked by this. Lee can never finish anything he starts. This was a mediocre book at best anyways no loss here.
@arturocalakayvee: If it were in the cards to happen, I'm not sure I'd be a fine of it. Let's be honest here, Lee's starpower is also part of the reason why Unchained does so well in sales and critical reception. He's already given the book a distinctive feel so taking him away for another artist might detract from the vision of the book and muck up the writer-artist chemistry Snyder had with Lee.
@pperspectiveandreality: yeah no
