Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
John Williams' theme probably, because it is linked more than any other theme with the character. My favorite is Zimmer's "An Ideal of Hope" But everything in this list (except Smallvile) give this joy and vibe a Superman theme should have!
Zimmer's MoS theme for me wasn't a theme - it was just a soundtrack song, not the awe inspiring tune of WIlliams' score. Whenever anyone hears that music you know who it is, and if you're a fan, you can't but smile a little inside & out and sing along with "duh duhduh duduuuuh duh duh duuuuuuh...."
@smart_dork_dude: I brought the entire movie score. Krypton's Last, Arcade, I will find him and What are you going to do when you're not saving the world are brilliant.
