Kuder's design is a tiny bit reminiscent of Tim Burton's aesthetic, he also looks like Lobo. I like it though, I like the emblem. I also like that the other one's wearing shorts

I can agree with that, but despite that I just think it looks too silly and would fit better with the Silver age than the N52.

I think that Bizarro-in-shorts might be not actual design; he is likely to be just an alternate cover imo. Then again, looks pretty cute.

Along with been Superman’s “imperfect clone”, Bizarro is often portrayed to be somewhat misshapen, taller and more bulky than Superman; so everything fits so far.

He's the opposite of Superman. Superman wore pants and didn't have a tucked in shirt. This one has shorts, a long sleeved shirt tucked in with a belt. I'd say that's exactly what he's supposed to be. Plus it seems like it's going to be a kid friendly story so this look goes with that vibe.

I hope it's the looks. I'm buying the series because of that look.

Personally I’m ok with both designs, so probably will buy this book either way (love some bizarro’s stuff from time to time), but have to ask – why are you thinking that this book going to kid friendly?

The art and the design is a dead give away. It's gonna be a fun book with lots of humor and no gratuitous violence.

Kuder is soooo good. That Bizarro pic is gorgeous one of the best looking Bizarros I've seen in a while.

Yes, he is the opposite of Superman, and that should be shown in a more subtle way that simply giving him the type of costume a child would think of when thinking of an "opposite superman". We can see his differences through plot, character development, dialogue etc. No need to overly simplistic and rub the fact that he is an inverse in our faces.

I agree if it's aimed at kids it's fine, but since I like to try and take comics seriously (to some extent, just with any fiction I like), it breaks my suspension of disbelief to think someone would have dressed him like that. Everyone's different though.
