Since the Amazing Spider Man comic series is ending I was thinking of collecting the last arc. I was thinking of starting from issue 698 is that an ok place to start or is that in the middle of an arc? I was wondering when the latest arc started so I know which issue to start from? Thank you.

I'd say either collect Ends of the Earth and go from there, or wait a little while longer until we know exactly when the big twist of 698 started. Ends of the Earth seems to be the earliest we can pin down that definitely happened BEFORE the twist.
