Uh-Oh...
Spider-Man
Character » Spider-Man appears in 17259 issues.
Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider as a teenager, granting him spider-like powers. After the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter learned that "with great power, comes great responsibility." Swearing to always protect the innocent from harm, Peter Parker became Spider-Man.
The Death of Spider-Man (Update on page 3)
It's just going to be another "The Other". They have no incentive to kill him off for good until he's at least 35 years old in Marvel Time.
YES!!!! THE CYCLE MIGHT FINALLY BE BROKEN THE ENDLESS BULLSHIT MIGHT FINALLY COME TO AN END!!!! This might be it they might go back to the way things were with this I know it's very unlikely and its far more likely they'll pull something along the lines of the Other again but on the off chance I'm right spidey will meet god or some supreme being and be told the truth of One More Day and at least be aware of what transpired between him and Mephisto before being returned to life....Hell at this point I don't even care how he finds it could be the guy on the Lucky Charms box who tells as long as he's made aware of it I'll be happy I can see it now "You used to be married me now stay away from me lucky charms"
So anyone got ideas how spider-man gonna die? My idea is pete getting screwed over by Mephisto costing him his life.
Peter might stop being Spider-man as steve wacker mentioned there could be a new Spider-man a few months ago and if he dies he will be back for his 50th anniversery and the new movie!!!

" And Dan Slott claims to love Spider-Man. Hahahaha!!! "So did JMS, JMS wanted to be removed from the book when he heard what was going to happen. But Joe offered him more money so that's what it all boils down to
MARVEL COMICS, GO **** YOURSELF. YOU **** EVERYTHING UP THAT YOU TOUCH.
Spidey dies and I'm done with this crapfest of a company. Congratulations, Bendis, Quesada, you got your wish; Marvel comics have now lowered themselves to the literary merit of the Twilight series.
Stan Lee must be spinning in his mansion.
"thats sick lol cant stop laughing

they wont its a promotional gimmick
This. "The Other" storyline has been avoided long enough in BND. I hope he gets those powers back or some new ones." YES!!!! I think this may undo the Other retcon, but not OMD as a whole. This just represents Marvel's complete inability to come up with an original or decent story. Sure, Pete will be back within a year, but that's not the ****ing point. They killed the Sentry, turned Emma into a 2D *****, killing a member of the F4, killed Cap, turned the X-Men into a militia, made Magneto a good guy and had Venom become comic relief. Quesada has no idea what he's doing, Bendis is incompetent and the rest of Marvel's staff isn't doing a thing to undermine their idiocy.
**** you, Quesada; and **** you, Marvel.
" No need to get our collective panties in a bunch. It's just a title. I'm sure there is far more to it than meets the eye. Marvel is clearly not going to just kill off their flagship character point blank. "Either way, it's gotten to the point of it just being ridiculous. Marvel have screwed up ALL of their decent characters in the past few years, and this for me, is the last straw;
- Spider-Man: OMD and this "Death of" crap
- Daredevil: Shadowland
- X-Men: Militia group and MAGNETO IS A GOOD GUY. Emma is a two-dimensional superb****, and Namor; the biggest douche in the MU, is on the team.
- Fantastic Four: Fantastic 3, wtf?
- Captain America: Dead, now "Super Soldier; director of SHIELD". Fail.
- Iron Man: Fascist douchebag that caused Civil War, OMD, Secret Invasion and Siege; but is now on the Prime Avengers team; wtf?
- Wolverine: Goes to Hell. Hell isn't a place you just "go" to. It's freaking Hell.
- Sentry: Best Marvel character in years, raped then killed because Bendick needed a Scapegoat for Siege.
- Hulk: Red Hulk, Red She Hulk. Nuff said.
- Ms Marvel: I'm sorry, what she meant to have a character, I thought she was just that chick who flew in New Avengers.
- Thor: "Hey, dude, I stole and bastardised your genetic code, and am the reason that Osborn was able to trash your city, but please, let's hang out in the Avengers Mansion".
Oy....I love how someone posts one image with the words "Death of Spider-Man" and everyone instantly freaks out -__-
COME ON PEOPLE!!! THINK!!!! IT'S FREAKIN' SPIDER-MAN!!!! THEY AREN'T GOING TO KILL SPIDER-MAN, THEIR BIGGEST MONEY MAKER, OFF!!!! SO STOP FREAKING!!!!
Honestly, I think this may have something to do with Ben Reilly, since he was Spider-Man at one point and he did "die" so there's an idea that isn't so crazy and is logical.
" Oy....I love how someone posts one image with the words "Death of Spider-Man" and everyone instantly freaks out -__-As I said, it's the principle, if he dies or not is irrelevant. The point is that Marvel hasn't told a good story in about 5 years that hasn't revolved around some ridiculous over the top gimmick. Amazing Spider-Man was the only good book Marvel has been putting out and now this.

Layla Miller took all their souls away with her mutant power during House of M. That's how I see it.

" @War Killer said:That's just your own opinion though, and I completely disagree. Marvel has many great titles, off the top of my head I know Invincible Iron Man has been a great title since #1 and will stand by this comment, Captain America as well. Saying ASM is Marvel's "ONLY GOOD" book is crazy and totally untrue, and if you believe that then you need to start reading more of Marvels other titles, because there are many titles that are great right now and have fantastic story's." " OMG!!! This is why Big Time is coming. So they can friggin destroy his life again........... WHY!?! "I remember reading an interview with Dan Slott and he mentioned on the subject that Spider-Man may being getting his dream job and hitting "the big time," but that doesn't mean he won't find a way to screw it up. It's still poor Peter Parker, y'know? :P

I like their cosmic stuff but it's far too expensive to try and get into. Iron Man should be dead after all the screw ups he's made, and I do like Captain America, but I don't care for Bucky as Cap.

" @Telcalipoca said:HAHAHAHA lol that had me in stitches for ages. Seriosly though, it's just a ploy by Marvel to get more readers which they will through the nagging incentive in the reader's mind that Spidey will die but in fact won't because death means nothing to comic books. Annoying though. They should kill off Ultimate Spidey which is what I first thought this was for." again? "
