Soldier Zero #2: A Small Part Of Me, But In My World

Stan Lee is back! Creating tomorrow's superheroes, today, Stan Lee is currently working on three heroic titles. Soldier Zero, The Traveler, and Starborn, all are being inspired by a comic legend that has created half of the Marvel Universe! As Stuart Trautmann has been controlled by a alien symbiote, this alien being might not be as bad as most aliens in outer space. Things are going to get a little bit more interesting in this issue as Stuart and James have to live with an alien that has more power than the both of them put together! No one knows what's going to happen in the near future to Soldier and Stuart, however all we know (for now) is that Earth is now the new battlefield that will eventually turn out to be a human vs aliens sort of thing. Written by Paul Cornell and artwork by Javier Pina.

    The Good

This has been pretty interesting. I've enjoyed these first two issues, however I would like how Stan and his team carry the story. Already, Stuart (and readers) are getting information on the enemy (as they call it) who is searching for Soldier Zero and trying to destroy him. But, there is also something else that hasn't been explained yet. The Soldier Zero symbiote's true nature! While I'm not entirely sure about Symbiotes (just call it a hunch), but all Symbiote's end the same way. Control, power, and finally turns into a super villain. Like Venom. However, I don't think this is going to be the case. Every area in this comic was explained with great intent, but it talked more about how Soldier Zero used to be a Captain in the Army, and how he fought the "True People" which allied themselves with the "Split Second-Men". The writing is great, Paul's work on this series is better than anything he previously worked on. I like how he portrays both, Stuart and Soldier. They used to both be in the army, and eventually saw an end to their troops. So I can see that that both can relate to one another, because they no how one another feels about fighting the good fight. I also like how characters like Soldier Zero are relatable to many readers that view this comic.

    The Bad

Yet again, another cliffhanger and not real fighting. The fight in the store doesn't count, they've got marshmallows and Stuarts got an alien (just kidding). However, I want to see a fight against Soldier Zero's people or enemy.

    The Verdict

Aliens, Humans, and bad guys, Soldier Zero is a good book to have. Even if you don't like Stan's work, you should at least see if you enjoy this book. You might even turn into one! However, to all those who like Stan's work, buy it, buy it, BUY IT, Stan Lee has a good team that is backing him up on this book. Overall marshmallows when the day because this is a 4.5 out of 5. Excelsior!

      Review: Soldier Zero #2 0

Armed hostiles might actually be the least of Soldier Zero's problems as he tries to overcome the language barrier.   The Good While I might've had some minor issues with the precise execution, the way in which Soldier Zero communicates with these humans - - with a jumble of sampled soundbites -  -  was a neat spin on the usual culture class you see in alien visitor stories.  The costume designs in this are quite sleek too, updating the classic superhero look enough to make it look like it coul...
