Origin
When Skinz was four years old, his mutant ability emerged when he was nearly mauled by a pitbull. He instinctively secreted a toxin that killed the dog. When his mother ran to his side, he still had some of the toxin on him. When she touched him, she was exposed to it and died.
Creation
Skinz first appeared in Captain America (2023) #9 by J. Michael Straczynski and Jesus Saiz.
Major Story Arcs
Change Agents
Skinz was determined to be a change agent by Lyra. Unfortunately, he was stranded in Chile by the military. They had quarantined him on orders of the President, who was doing a favor for Lyra's brother. Lyra's brother was keeping the President's son alive in return for the death of Skinz. Lyra sent Captain America to rescue him. After working together to defeat the Chilean army, Skinz accompanied Cap to London to retrieve another change agent.
Powers & Abilities
Healing Factor: Skinz is capable of healing from injuries in a matter of seconds, including regrowing limbs.
- Biokinesis: Skinz is able to shed his skin as one complete piece, which he can then telepathically control like a puppet
Chemical Secretion: Skinz is able to secrete a green toxin
