englentine's Bart Simpson #13 - Boy Without Fear review

    Painfull

The first half of the book is a parody called Bartzan. It basically casts Bart as Tarzan. It is written at such a level I can not even think of the child that could possibly be interested in it. Not too mention it commits the crime of being entirely humorless.
A very painfull thing to read. It wasn't until the book returns to Springfield that any kind of humor returned to the book. Even that was not exactly sufficient to hold a story. I guess what is good on the television is not always good on the printed page.  Even my daughters, who usually like the Simpsons comic, did not like this issue.

Got to agree it was mediocre. Tarzan was out of character. It is odd   Hans Moleman is Janey Powell's dad. I am not sure if that is canon.  Little Buddy Day story felt unfinished and rushed. Bart’s big spill felt like a series out of ideas.
