    The Red Knight was from Charlton Comics, and later used in DC Comics. He had been the villain of the Dan Garrett, Blue Beetle.

    Biography

    Dr. Lewis Coll was an astronaut and physicist who lived in a remote castle where, using his scientific genius, he constructed a rocket capable of reaching the planet Saturn in a matter of hours. Visiting the sixth planet, he carelessly went abroad without the protection of a spacesuit and ends up "the dread methaneammonia poisoning." Returning home, the infection causes him to become murderously misanthropic. His fiance Regina and his friend Dan Garret noted the change in his behavior of Lewis. In his delusion, using the material recolected from his saturnian exploration, he forged weapons and an armour, taking his cue from a chess set, he becomes the Red Knight. and went in a criminal spree, with demential plans of world domination with Regina as his "White Queen".

    When Garret fought against him as the Blue Beetle was defeated, but in their second fight, Garret defeated the Red Kninght by using dust from the tomb of the mummy Ac-Tem to subdue him. Blue Beetle was capable of restore the sanity of Lewis. With his senses restored, Dr. Coll was pardoned for his transgressions.

    Powers

    Red Knight used a special Saturnian silicate, to creates a costume for himself and gives his horse the power of flight. He used a crystal shield capable of resists even a lightning and a lance capable of blast a electric discharge.
