I know people have problems with too many Batman books but do people have problems with too many X-Men books? ...Just give me an X-Men book that has the original cast.
The Bat-books cover most of the Bat-family whereas the X-Books have been ignoring a whole bunch of great characters for years. WatXM is the worst since it's; 1) not very good and 2) features some very bland new students but uses the New X-Men cast as wallpaper.
Am I the only person who didn't like #14 of All New X-Men? Their victory seemed waaaay too easy. How could Jean - who has only been an X-Man for a little while - kick Mystique in the face and take her out?
That being said, I've loved both series, especially #13 of ANXM and #7 of UXM.
@cybrilious4: Firstly, you can't be convicted for criticising the Royal Family. Freedom of speech is one the tenants of democratic society, UK included. Secondly, although I agree that the wedding shouldn't have cost so much, it did bring in a lot of revenue. The same sentiment could be expressed for the Royal Family - yes a hereditary monarchy is unfair and costs the taxpayer money, but they do perform a lot of charity work, help maintain diplomatic relations between nations and are a major source of income for the UK by way of tourism.
@papad1992: Yeah, its true that the author ignores the merits of Xavier's leadership. After all the X-Men did end up 'protecting a world that hates and fears them', as per his mission statement.
@cybrilious4: If anything the US is just as bad as the UK, if not worse. other than that I do agree that there are many bad people in the world that go unchecked simply because they don't fit conflict with the interests of these countries.
Speaking as a teenaged British citizen, this sucks, it simply sucks. What makes it worse is the fact that I don't have any say as my mum will obviously choose to block once she gets the choice. Plus, I don't see how this will help combat child pornography.
Simple truth is it wont this is more to do with the fact that he simply just doesn't like porn. But this isn't only for porn but other content such as violence. But I really am not sure how well that will work out. I mean porn is around quite a bit on the internet on sites that aren't porn sites such as social networking sites. hmm drawing the line with all this seems to be difficult.
Oh and if you are worried about that, that is what proxies are for :)
Yeah, this is a worrying step. What's next? Soon he'll be bowing down to every pressure group out there, granted, there's a lot of crap and terrible people on the internet but it's still supposed to be a place to express yourself freely.
