@mrnoital: Just because they haven't revealed it yet doesn't mean that they won't or that they don't have it planned out. Who the hell are you, me, or anyone else that isn't Jason Aaron or Marvel to claim to know what is in store for the character? I, personally, am fine with keeping it a mystery for a while and making it part of the larger story. Let it be told how it'll be told.
Sounds like a good read. The art looks decent but not as striking as it was in the last series. Is it really that hard to nail the kickass trifecta of art, plot, and character?

I wouldn't say that I prefer them, but I enjoy them as much. Joe Madd & Soule's run got me interested and invested. (Especially since Wolverine's death...I knew I was a Wolvie fanboy but couldn't have predicted how much my interest in the X titles would drop without him.)
I'm interested in seeing where this will go and at least Marvel's marching orders will be well written and look gorgeous - LOVED Kuder's work on Action Comics. He and Pak, IMO, gave the best Superman of the New 52.
Why doesn't Marvel just make new characters? Because the fans will buy them even less. They'll bitch and moan about re-treads and mantle passing, but they'll at least shell out to see what happens. Ever try to launch a new IP in this nostalgia soaked landscape? Best of luck. Especially in publishing, and superhero comics in particular, where its already a high-wire act with no net. Look at how hard Valiant is pushing it: putting out amazing books, consistently. doing things smart, and even winning creative awards...and they're BARELY getting a foot into the marketplace. People want familiarity, unfortunately.
