If you want it from a technical aspect, I think people say it because Batman is a transcendent character that's been around and he's had his Rogue Gallery explored and displayed often not just through comics, but more mainstream media like animated series, movies, and video games. That increases the familiarity that people have with the characters and keeps the status fresh in minds for a long time.

I also think he legitimately has arguably the best villains of any superhero. Batman's Rogue Gallery is top notch, with characters like Spider-Man and Flash being the main competition.

I don't think I'd put him above a single one. Maybe above Malekith because I think Lex at least had some performance and motivation up on him, but DCEU Lex is an all-time bottom-feeding trash comic book movie villain. MCU has villains as a weak point because they're mediocre or sub-par, not because they're completely terrible. Even some of the most low tier MCU villains I can think of (Whiplash, Ronan, Yellowjacket, Abomination, Justin Hammer) were better. If Lex wasn't named Lex Luthor, nobody would even entertain the idea of him being so much as a passable movie villain, let alone a good one.

The only ones I could really put Lex clearly above, are ones that weren't main villains, like Baron Von Strucker, Nobu, and Madame Gao.

Are they going to explain how Echo is alive? I hope so. The Annual she was in was underwhelming.

"It’s the biggest case of MATT MURDOCK’s career. But in order to win it…DAREDEVIL will have to take the witness stand!"

I can't wait for the blind jokes.

Guardians of the Galaxy was just as critically acclaimed as Logan, so logically if it's sequel is as good or better than the first, Vol. 2 should have a pretty strong chance. Though, being a sequel for a comic book movie is something that doesn't always live up to the bar it's set.

I'm hopeful though, so I actually do think Guardians Vol. 2 has a pretty strong chance. Spider-Man: Homecoming might be a sleeper choice but I think it could potentially not resonate as much with the audience because of a number of things people have already complained about.

Also, it's kind of funny that people are writing off Thor when everyone's saying Logan will probably be a lock for the best comic book film this year. If Logan can have a bad and underwhelming first two entries and a really good third, I think it's a lot more likely that Thor can have two decent films and a really good third entry, especially when Marvel is consciously aware and acknowledging that they feel like they haven't done Thor solo movie justice yet.

I liked Elektra. I think it has the best art style of the three books and an interesting enough premise and fun tone so far. I still haven't fully caught up on Kingpin though.

As for Issue #18, thought it was great! Soule has definitely shown that he can do great things on this book which is refreshing, and if this arc turns out well I dare say he might hit a stride, at least as long as Garney's doing the art. The way Purple Man and DD look in these pages is awesome, right down to the very last page.

I think his name is silly and almost comes off like a satire for a Daredevil sidekick. As for his actual character, he got a lot of focus early on and I thought he was getting interesting enough for a sidekick, but his growth is obviously in a stagnant place at the moment. I think he has potential, I just hope he's not forced into a role where he takes up the Daredevil mantle or anything because Marvel sometimes fast-tracks that stuff.

I don't know. I think it's not a good show and have trouble even calling it okay. I watched the whole series already and I have trouble with the idea of sitting through it again. I don't feel like there are a lot of positives to the show and the flaws far outweigh it.

The treatment of Typhoid Mary was always the main thing that made me go, "Okay...huh?" when I read the run. The book is by all means Bendis in his prime as a writer and it reeled me in to go from issue to issue always unable to wait to see what happens next, and what made Typhoid Mary's eventual handling in Bendis' run so sad was that he built her up the way she should've been, considering her debut. She was this awesome, threatening, dangerous character and her return in Bendis' run reflects that perfectly. ...Then after she burns Matt, she kind of just starts spouting nonsense until Luke Cage comes to handle her. It was anticlimactic and relegated her to a silly fodder villain.

Also, my memory might be foggy (Pun intended, ha!), but I thought it was a weird plot hole that Elektra apparently got stuff for The Murdock Papers and The Murdock Papers turned out to not exist. I guess we're supposed to believe Fisk planned for a scenario like this way ahead of time and faked out the very idea to Elektra? Seems kind of hard to believe though. I also generally thought that there were cases of the radar sense being really specifically known by outside parties, even Elektra, near the end of the run.

That being said, I still think Bendis' Daredevil run is awesome, easily one of my favorites and one of the most fun times I've had reading a comic book or Daredevil, and I don't have a problem with it being seen as arguably the best run for Matt Murdock we've seen.

I don't think it's really fair to say reviews are bullshit when they're a random assortment of opinions that happen to fall into one direction or the other. I'm less hyped for the show but I still plan on watching day one. It's worth noting that anyone that's writing off the reviews as being politically correct SJW stuff is seriously overlooking the generic origin stuff with Danny Rand as a character and that there's a lot of complaints for Finn Jones in the role and the action choreography, which is sad. I'm a fan of Iron Fist as a character, and I do think they should've took a different approach to this one.

There's no way Thanos will be a single, lone threat for them to deal with. Numbers will matter, though hopefully it's more interesting than the faceless horde armies we've gotten in the past two Avengers films and other stuff like Suicide Squad (I'm sure Justice League will have it too) because it's feeling a bit stale.

Don't underestimate the utility, tactics, and distractions that the street-level characters bring to the table.
