no not really. I mean, you get first stage live edit when you get 1000 points and at 5000 points you don't have your edits approved by a mod.

It's not really the amount of wiki points which decides if you will be a mod or not. Babs and Gman like mods to be well rounded contributors to the community and able to deal with a magnitude of situations. It doesn't hurt to have live edit but it doesn't effect totally your nomination of being a mod (k4tzm4n for example, doesn't have live edit yet with only 3,326, however his involvement in the forums made him an excellent choice for a forum mod). It's a factor, but not the reason a person becomes a mod.
