Race: half-Asgardian/half-Svartalf (dark elf)

The offspring of an Asgardian warrior and a sorceress of the Svartalf, he is of both Asgardian and dark elven heritage. He knows nothing of his mother; she left him in the care of his father shortly after his birth and disappeared from both their lives, no doubt aware that her society would never accept either her lover or her son. His father, likewise realizing that there would be no place for him in Asgardian society, kept him hidden, teaching him what he could of politics and swordplay, until finally sending him out into Midgard to seek his own fate when he came of age.

Cy'ian wandered far, seeking out enclaves of arcane and mystical knowledge, both among humanity and those of the Fae who yet lingered on this side of the Veil. His heritage gave him an natural talent for sorcery, and he grew particularly skilled at necromancy, those magical practices dealing with death. During one particularly dangerous magical experiment, his mind came into contact with a potent and alien intelligence: Nordok the Ancient. The cosmic entity brought the talented young adept into the Abyssal Imperium, and initiated him into the Shadow Brethren, a cabal of dark magicians from across the universe. His magical knowledge and power increased exponentially, and it was during this time that he spearheaded the creation of the Necrommandos, a force of undead commandos and assassins, and offered them to his dread lord. Nordok, in a fit of dark humor, "rewarded" his servant with immortality: existence as an undead lich, bound to serve the will of the Ancient One for all eternity.

Recently, Cy'ian has returned to his home world, and found it much changed. He has gone to work in embedding himself in the supernatural politics of the planet, aiming to further both his own ambitions and the desires of his dark lord. Recently, events and alliances have aligned to return him to a living state. With a quite literal "new lease on life," Cy'ian pursues his own dark agenda with renewed vigor.

Physical abilities: though his magical abilities render most forms of physical prowess largely superfluous, Cy'ian nevertheless keeps himself in top physical form. His Asgardian heritage gives him a physical strength in the fifteen-ton range and endurance enabling him to engage in grueling physical activity for up to twelve hours before tiring. His body tissues are much more resistant to damage (his bones requiring roughly ten times the amount of force to break and his flesh having a durability similar to that of Kevlar), and injuries heal far faster than in human bodies. His dark elven heritage likewise grants him a preternatural speed and agility that easily exceeds that of even the finest Midgardian athlete, and allows him to see in the dark with no loss of clarity for up to 120', an ability that he can enhance with magical means (he is also known to use sorcery to enhance other physical abilities, at need).

Non-physical abilities: the Necrommander is one of the most powerful necromancers in existence, having spent much of his extended existence researching and perfecting the deathless arts. He is powerful enough to almost effortlessly control the entire Necrommando force. He can create and command practically every form of undead, create, summon and command the spirits of the dead, directly manipulate the vital energy of living beings, and steal and imprison souls. Though his proficiencies in other schools of magic are not developed to nearly this level, he is familiar with all but the most esoteric bits of arcane lore, and has demonstrated the ability to affect terrestrial weather patterns, launch attacks with various forms of energy, and summon, bind, and banish extraplanar beings.

Skills: the Necrommander is a master swordsman, having developed an appreciation for the subtle finesse of the art while he was still a living being, and after many hundreds of years of practice, he is now one of the most accomplished and deadly practitioners in the universe. He is a skilled alchemist, and though he does not possess any great scientific or technological aptitude, he appreciates the benefits that these subjects can provide, and will not hesitate to take advantage of such resources.
