Power of a Keeper As a result of her lineage and upbringing in a home where the study and utilization various magics was as common as the courtesy that a parent would teach a child, Osma has found herself rather adept in the practice of various magical arts. While not necessarily the most powerful magic user to exist, her intense, intimate, and personal teachings combined with a particular talent for the arcane practices has resulted her becoming a highly capable mage filled with potential.
Translation Magic: As a result of the intense hunger to obtain knowledge and the natural boundaries that comes with its countless forms, the Keepers and all of their scholastic knowledge prowess have developed a means to be able to comprehended nearly any form of non-spoken information. Through translation magic. With nothing more than a casual simple set of hands gestures, Osma with her level of knowledge using power has the to ability translate nigh-any type of language, text, code or message that is written down. With forms of information that appear in less tangible forms of communication, such as electromagnetic frequencies, psychic means, or anything of the like, requiring a finesse and skill level that is currently far out of the range of Osma's abilities. And naturally, forms of communication that are protected from prying eyes via some form of cryptography cannot be instantly translated, but rather, traditional methods. With magically protected ones being subject to a form of spell nullification.
Presence Cloaking: Traversing any type of environment, at any given moment, with the maximum amount of discretion and inconspicuous presence possible is always an ideal status for a Keeper magician to maintain. As such, in addition to training themselves to be composed and light on their feet, they've developed the magical method known as the "Keeper's Wisp". On a most basic level, it is an active presence cloaking system that allows Osma's natural aura to not only go undetected, but also actively alter itself to mislead anything that would be trying to locate it through magical, supernatural, spiritual, or otherwise occult means. More tangibly however, it will make anyone in the surrendering era become passively unobservant to the Keeper's presence, and highly unlikely to think anything of Osma even if they were to glance at her. Making her practically non-existent. (Note: most effective in crowds and overstimulated areas).
When being actively searched by something, this power will even translate to the pursuer's senses. While not completely undetectable, this result in happenings such as her scent, any sounds that she makes, and the very image of her becoming diluted by the surrounding stimuli of the environments atmosphere. Making it difficult if not impossible for anyone but another Keeper to effectively track her. This ability being as extreme as it is, allows the Violet Magus to sneak by unnoticed and even sneak up on beings superhuman being with the most acute senses, and effectively do so with the same beings on more than one occasion. However, it should be noted that particularly powerful beings have been known to adapt to this power upon consistent exposure, and learn to sense and even go so far as to being able to track down a Keeper Though, this is an exceedingly rare phenomenon in general, and is as well for the Morning Mage.
Luck Magic: Due to her questionable confidence in her ability when carrying out her various exploits, Osma has learned and developed a form or probability manipulation in the form of the phenomenon known as "Luck Magic". Rather than having to rely on type of object or potion to achieve this power, all its takes a momentary cast to be able to manipulate the raw power of not only portability, but to an extent, the perceived nature of possibility as well. With the use of this power, The Scholar of Magic is able to not only increase her odds of success and the odds of failure of someone else in a given situation (e.g. landing a hit on someone), but also increase the frequency and likeliness of fortunate events taking place. In the latter case, effects being more abstract (e.g. coming across a useful item that she wasn't even looking for). This power can even be used on others to make them more fortunate for a time. But while powerful, the effectiveness of the magic relies on the innate quantum probability of something happening, as well the amount of effort behind the cast. And as a karama factor, this power will seek often equilibrium by having bad luck set in later on with varying levels of severity.
Holy Blessings: With a connection to the vast innate and purity in nature that surges through nearly all things in nature, The Blessed One, like all Keepers, is capable of using potential for holiness in an object, being or place, in order to cast a blessing. This blessing while simple, is one of the most coveted abilities within the arcane arsenal of the Keeper. With them, Osma is capable of influencing (for the better) the very destiny of something as tangible as an animal or as abstract as a journey, with the effectiveness of the blessing usually more proficient when the person, object, or concept is "fresh", of notable power, or ability. Even going so far as to be able to protect it and ward off unholy perils. Though, it's more effective on inanimate objects and locations that it is people and abstract concepts. But in any case, a useful trait of this power is for her to be able to actively purify people and substances and even allow for the purging of evil and the performance of exorcisms. But in most cases, it would be mundanely used for her creating holy weapons.
Clairvoyance: When needing to locate a particular person, object, or place that lies beyond her knowledge, The Violet Magus is capable of locating them through the form of extrasensory perception known as clairvoyance. With it, she is capable of gaining the knowledge of something's location through visual perception, simply by knowing precisely what it is that she is looking for. All he she needs is some information on the subject of what she wishes to see, which can range from a person's name, an image of a place, or a physical object that is strongly associated to what she would like to find. When locating a place, she will instantly gain sight of key aspects of it that define the location. When locating a person, she will be able to see omnidirectionally from their physical position as far and as well as they would be able to see. When locating an object, the she would be able to see it and its environment omnidirectionally from a distance of 60 feet. This ability can even extend to her own environment, being able to see all aspects of her immediate setting simultaneously.
Divination: In situations where the outcome of a relatively close coming conflict approaches, or one simply has an inquiry about what the future may hold, a Keeper may channel the supernatural forces of prophetic power in order predict the future. This may come through the means of prayer, deep meditation, or an assortment of specific rituals and practices that come exclusively by the religious methods of the Keeper organization. Some being more favorable than others depending the scenario they are in or what they wish to see may be. Regardless of the means, once achieving the ritual, The Starlight Caster may be able to gain a "response" as to what the future holds for themselves, others, or the world at large, in a time frame ranging from a matter of seconds to weeks... If not years... Answers to their questions coming by the way of vague suggestions by found in hidden in their daily lives, or more visions, by ways of trances, or dreams. True precognition however is quite rare, and even then, the future is by no means certain. Even rarer is the gaining of knowledge via passive means.
Spell Casting: As a result of plethora of teachings and the seemingly countless hours of practice that the young mage took in perfecting her craft, Osma is a highly versatile and formidable caster of numerous forms spells. The traits of the myriad of effects that she is able to cast range from basic abilities that even the least talented of novices could achieve, powerful combative spells that would give the Violet Magus a profound edge of offensive and defensive combatic capabilities in a wide variety of encounters, to occult that few beings out outside of her inner circle lineage would even have knowledge of in existing. While the sheer volume of actions that these skills manifest themselves in can be overwhelming to many, Worldly Wizardess has notable experience with being able to proficiently utilize each spell with whatever poise or determination would be needed to enact them. As well as being able aptly switch between and combine effects, and the whatever action would be needed to properly execute each of them, be it hand gestures, incantations, or otherwise (W.I.P.).
Magical protection, magical nullification Abjuration: While Keeper's may be naturally be adept at both avoiding and peacefully resolving conflict, that does not mean that they are not naturally prepared for any potential confrontations or exotic scenarios that could result in physical, spiritual, or mental harm of themselves or others. Knowing the vast dangers that the material and non-physical worlds posses has lead The Blessed one to study and evolved a number of methods of her people that would suit her in a wide scope of situations. As such, she has designed a number of active and passive measures to protect herself and potential companions:
Psychic Defenses - As a passive trait, Osma's mind is naturally fortified to defend against any sort of non-physical method that would seek to obtain read, control or otherwise influence her mind, with it being most effective forces that stem from magical or psionic origins. When one attempts to read her mind without her permission, they will immediately be encountered by a set of false thoughts that will take the form of whatever would be the most convenient thing to be believed of Osma of the time. Being able to trick even the most experienced of mentalists. And if one were to somehow see through this, they would be encountered by a psychically repellent wall that only the most powerful skilled and effective methods could overcome.Spiritual Healing - In situations where The Violet Magus is helping companions in combat, or is simply an injured individual that she comes across, she is capable of aiding them in their healing by spiritual means. By preforming an intense mental ritual and extending a hand to whomever she is trying to help, that person who is injured will experience a highly accelerated recovery that will work more efficiently and effectively than most existing medical practices. Not only does this absolve physical alignments, but spiritual ones as well. However, the speed of recovery depends on the extent and nature of the damage, and is physically taxing on the Osma, especially with non-physical wounds. And ironically, she cannot use the power on herself, only others.Magi-Shield - When attacked by surprise methods, be it physical, supernatural, or otherwise, a defense mechanism of a protective barrier known as a magi-shield will automatically activate and keep Osma from harm. Upon automatic shielding, it will generally sustain itself for a split second, before she would have to actively uphold it. The magi-shield acts a non-physical force-field that protects the Keeper from offensive attacks, such as energy attacks, force exertion, spells, or space-time attacks. Extending omnidircetionally with a five meter radius, it allows Osma to move around a battlefield with protection, an can even offer allies defense. And if she chooses, means of trapping enemies within and forcing them to face her, with means such as teleportation or intangibility being negated. It is however by no means invulnerable, as its integrity relies on consecration, and general mindfulness.Selection Circles - In circumstances where the mage needs to be able to stop and think within her headspace to get a moment of clarity amongst overwhelming offensive power, she is capable projecting ports of circle magic known as selection circles. Like magi-shields, they serve as means of defense against offensive attacks that allows the caster defense against a myriad of attacks. The main difference being that selection circles sever and isolate one's conceptual position from their environment, giving them immunity from all forms of attacks within a radius of two meters. The caveat to this being that Osma herself will not be able to attack. This ability can extend to others, with as many as five selection circles existing at once. But unlike the magi-shield which relies on concentration, the selection circles are extremely physically taxing, with their effects worsening with time and number.Magic Nullification - The Scholar of Magic is capable of actively influencing, overcoming, and outright negating the magical prowess of other beings with well coordinated and advanced esoteric practice known only to the Keepers. In situations where one is launching tangible magical attacks, such as a energy based one, Osma is capable deflecting, or even reflecting their effects, when perfectly parrying. When encountered by spells of various kinds and power levels, or catching opponents casting spells, she is able to use a wide variety of time consuming rituals that can negate bewitched objects and people. And at times stop others mid-cast. Furthermore, Keeper abjuration doesn't rely on anti-magic and as such, can't harm Osma's magic.The Elemental Elemental Magic: It is known by the Keepers that their group retains and innately powerful connection to the esoteric aspects of nature itself. A synergy to the universe and its states that has been carried through their family's legacy with each and every passing generation, one that cannot be broken , as it stems from the very core of divine creation itself. And as true as that statement may be, it happens to be even more so in the case of Osma: The Elemental. Even in infancy, she demonstrated the peculiar ability to manipulate it through physical movement. While she has developed a certain balance of dominance and submission with these unnatural talents, she is by no means a master, or close to the apex of what she can achieve. So far knowing only the elements of fire, ice and wind.
Fire Magic: The first element that Osma has in her arsenal is that of fire, and the general powers of heat associated with it. Often by the means of closing her hand and pointing her index and middle fingers, The Violet Magus is capable of igniting the ends of her fingertips and producing flames of both magical and scientific elements that she can then control. At the most basic use of her power, she can create finely tuned balls of fire, beams of blazing heat, literal fire walls, blast herself into flight for short period of time, contain heat, and create great fiery explosions. Moreover, she can ignite substances upon contact simply by exciting its chemical properties. Furthermore, she can finely manipulate nigh-any already existing flame and bend it to her will. The existing chemicals within the fire, whatever they may be, being manipulated to the finest of degrees.Ice Magic: The second element used by The Elemental would be that of ice, and by proxy, the powers of the cold. She most commonly harnesses this ability by the ways of closing her hand and pointing her index and pinky fingers, creating a small orb of ice between said fingers. Imbued with properties of both magical scientific elements to to as she desires. Using this ability, she can most easily create blasts of cryogenic power and instantly freeze objects with the wave of her hand. But using the greater extent of her abilities she can create complex structures formed from ice, such as glass-like orbs, razor sharp ice projectiles, wall and barriers of ice and various platforms, to name a few. In addition to this she can manipulate nearly any existing piece of ice. The ice being under her influence being manipulated down to the very quantum energies that it consists of.Air Magic: The third elemental for Osma to utilize would be that of air, and the connotations of it with atmosphere. Unlike the powers of fire and ice, she does not have any particular hand gesture or motion that she tends to use regrading this element, but rather, activates it with a type of freeform style. With this ability, she is capable of not only manipulating, but creating atmospheric quantities of less obviously magical and more cosmetically scientific effects. With this, she can create powerful gusts of wind, increase or decrease atmospheric pressure, glide and float on air currents to temporally suspend herself in the air, conjure vortexes of air, and create vacuums of space. And of course, she can manipulate the atmosphere of nearly any environment. With ambient air within the atmosphere she has dominion over being controlled down to the molecular level.
