October? Perfect time to appreciate Frazer Irving's work!

Irving's without a doubt one of my favorite artists of all time and he's only been in the game for roughly 5 or so years. He's already one of the best active, young guns and only has room to grow. His work on Morrison's Klarion, Rozum's Xombi, Batman and Robin/Return of Bruce Wayne, and other projects is simply majestic and quietly has been pushing the envelope of what superhero art can be. And his use of color is truly awe inspiring and something I can say I hadn't experienced as a reader until I encountered his work. His work on Xombi with John Rozum earlier this year is a huge part of what elevated that book to being the title of the year for me. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table on Robinson's Shade this month! The fact that he isn't working on a regular monthly in the DCnU is an astounding oversight to me. I mean could you imagine him on JLD (no disrespect to Janin)?! I ran across this article examining some of the technical aspects of his art that I thought was really quite well written. Anyways, enjoy the article and if you're as big a fan of his art as I am feel free to comment why!
