The last GL panel is obviously a joke. That entire page is just dark humor, if with some serious subtext. Besides, do you actually expect Hal Jordan to tell a therapist anything meaningful?

Other than that, HiC is another series "addressing" how dark comics have gotten by doing nothing other than showcase how dark comics have gotten. Nothing new.
While it may not be new. King's level of "dark" is just ludicrous and tries to be dark for the sake of dark. Comics is not the medium for PTSD period.
Not sure how it destroyed Wally. He was obviously suffering a lot of emotional turmoil and his killing of the sanctuary residents was an accident (perhaps manipulated by someone else). My problem is we had a good opportunity to turn Wally into a kickass, relatable villain. This issue makes the entire series pointless. The only development besides some dead characters is Wally goes to jail ?♂️
Edit: turning wally into a bad guy wouldn't be sacrilege. He can always become a good guy again and he had Manhattan and time displacement (loss of family) to lead into such a character arc. As the proven fastest Flash, he would have been a force to be reckoned with imo.

@eto: Thanks for the final update. I trust Geoff Johns with Wally. This story line is a shame since Wally is the most consistently entertaining superhero I've ever read, and while Geoff Johns isn't the best writer for every character, he seemed to really care about the character and the fandom for the character.
Between Apocalypse and this movie, Sophie Turner has proved to be terrible casting for Jean.

Lol. Not wasting my money (I wasn't planning to go in the first place, but now it's given).
Last, but not least, McAvoy's Xavier and Fassbender's Magneto, inarguably the leads of this First Classquadrilogy. Both deliver predictably good performances, but the writing does the characters an absolute disservice.
I knew they would be the only ones who'd deliver. Hopefully we'll see them in the MCU, they deserve it.
Ps. I agree this is the farewell to FoX-Men, but what about NMutants?
Do you know if New Mutants (2020?) will be released in theathers or straight on the Disney+ app? They keep delaying it...not a good sign.
@eto: I think it's the slow pacing that's getting to me about now. We're 9 issues into the run (behind on reviewing the issues) and we haven't really learnt anything new.
Exactly and then there's Abnett (for better or worse) who's taken over the book. Though, I do think he's a much better writer than Williamson. Aquaman (my entry to Aquaman mythos, that's right I read his run before N52 run) and Silencer (stellar, brand new character) are all solid books. Conversely we've got Williamson with his so-so Flash run....not really my cup of tea (and no I'm not biased, since Wally is my fav character next to Jason).
I've dropped main JL title just before the Sixth Dimension arc. I'll prolly pick it up in trades. There's just too much going on and it doesn't feel epic (which the writer is going for) at all, it feels just confusing to me.
Justice League Dark, I thought it'd be my fav JL book but I dropped it after the first arc.
