@jnr6lil:
At this point just realized your extremely dense. It's futile explaining to a white man from London what it means to be a black man in Ameroca as he would never understand unless he was one himself.
---------
You assume people won't be able to understand you without you even trying to explain your point of view. You assume this because they're a different colour. Like It or not, that is a highly prejudiced view.
And I haven't told you a thing about America. I've spoken about other parts of the world and ASKED about America, you've refused to answer those questions and feigned integral knowledge of the thought processes of every other black person in the world
------------
@jnr6lil
But I forgot this was the Race Thread where white posters feel they are experts on black people just because they're white and have a few black friends.
As If I don't know more about being black by actually being black, growing up around AAs and Nigerians and actually having to deal with racism throughout my life let alone the time I spend reading articles and books such as the New Jim Crow, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, American Apartheid, etc
---------
You make (incorrect) assumptions about who I grew up with, who I associate with, what I've read, what I've studied. Basically jus a whole bunch of assumption based on my colour and location. That again is due to your prejudice.
Additionally you made a comment on the other page where you stated that "I say that as someone who has white friends."
Hypocrite.
----------
@jnr6lil
I can already tell that any black that has grievances with their conditions in America it's considered self poty and whining to you and that blacks can succeed if they just pull up their bootstraps.
----------
It sounds like self pity when you repeatedly fail to give a single example of how society is holding you back, but continue to insist that it is. Give me an example I can disagree with before telling me I definitely will. And yes racism is real. So is self pity.
---------
And being black does link you with every black person. It's called Pan Africanism.
Yeah, tell a Jamaican they're African. That always goes down well.
---------
@jnr6lil
A) Mentioning their few token black people that they know as examples of success so therefore their must be no systemic oppression if a few made it.
----------
I know many successful and unsuccessful people from many ethnicities. None on them made it through sitting on their backsides feeling sorry for themselves. Hence my point that success is more dependant on hard work than colour. That does not mean I don't think prejudice exists, or nepotism or sexism. Buy they are not the be all and end all.
---------
@jnr6lil
B) Dismiss anything that comes from one of the few black posters here about being black only because it hurts their feelings or accused them of being racist when not only am I black but know more blacks from all walks of life than more of this website.
Yes, like it or not declaring that an entire group I people does something solely because they're a certain colour. Yes that is racism.
Again, you have no way of knowing if you know more black people than I do. It's just more of your prejudice BS.
-----------
@jnr6lil
C) Use the term non-white which basically means minorities that aren't black in their context.
No. It means non white, including black. It's easier than typing out every subgroup of people. There are after all more than 2 skin tones, you know?
--------
No. People saying something racist happened are not necessarily wrong. But If you ask them what happened And all they can say is you wouldn't understand coz I'm black and you're not. Well, that person is either a poor communicator, or they're talking s**t.
Of course you could prove me completely wrong by telling me all about the specific institutionalised racism you've experienced.
Otherwise this conversations over. As it stands right now, you have no credibility, not due to your colour. But due to the bias and small-mindedness you have shown.
