ATTENTION RPGERS
This is not an IC-Post. This is an OOC Address of certain, perpetual concerns that can be solved, but only with assistance/cooperation of what one might call the 'regulars' of the "What Does Your Character Think About The Character Above You Thread".
To start off, this thread is of course meant to depict your character's perspective of the character directly above you post-wise. Now, over the course of time, that purpose has derailed into mini-interactions with legitimate continuity, tags, and what not.
Now, the problem with this is that, overtime, it erodes away the original Perspective Of On Character Above You purpose of the thread, resulting in far more of ninja'd moments [when one user aims a perspective-on-char-above-you post at the person directly above them, but it is interrupted by another user whom posted faster], newer users getting confused about the purpose of this thread, characters that are following the thread's purpose failing to prompt any perspective from another character due to ongoing, derailing mini-interactions, etc. There is also the frequent presence of the same characters in this thread at virtually all times, which does begin to hinder newer and fresher perspectives another character can offer when they join in.
Now, a solution was created to help with these concerns four months ago, called The IC Club (in-character club). The purpose of the IC Club was to enable these constant mini-interactions and mini-continuities so that the WYDCT [What Does Your Character Think] thread could return to its original purpose; a thread where your character gives their perspective on the character above you. For a short time, this solution was successful. However, soon afterwards, derailment started cropping up in this thread again, came back in full, and the purpose of the IC Club was more or less invalidated (though it still remains active).
Now guys, I personally enjoy mini-interactions, really. But please, try to remember that this thread does have a purpose, and that there is another thread to enjoy such things [The IC Club]. None of you are required to listen to any of what I'm saying; I'm just a concerned RPGer, not a mod or anything of the sort. But please consider the points made here.
