It was a warm day in the heart of Champions City. Circe, the newest addition to the Young Champions had left her dorm back at the Mansion. It was during a phone call to her elder sister, Belle, that she had found the final piece to the puzzle. Something she had been working on for quite some time. Thoughts that had that rattled around in her brain all day long, like a squirrel desperate to get out of its cage. She had been solving the everlasting mystery, of where Mr Mercury could be. Of course, she had checked every twist, turn, corner, alleyway in Champions City. She had even briefly scanned the whole west coast of America. It had indeed been a tough job, but the witch believed that she had infact found the man she was looking for. And she was not going to give up now. Not when the tips of her fingers could almost touch the achievment.
As much as the heat got to her, she still found the sudden gasps of the wind to be annoying. The wind had indeed cooled her down, but had also managed to flick Circe's silky, violet hair consistently in to her face. She was tempted to telekinetically hold her hair back, but instead focused on other things. She had binoculars fixed against her eyes, a little something she picked up back at the Champions of Peace base. She had spotted Mr Mercury, relaxing at a small Greek resturaunt whilst idly chatting with a rather shabby looking man.
"Mysterious liaisons, eh? I should wait until the man leaves, and when he is alone. Best way to strike." Circe layed out her plans before her, quietly speaking to herself. As the binocular goggles zoomed in, the witch noticed Mr Mercury slightly choking on his drink. Shocking news maybe? Something had definitely suprised him.
But it was the patience that sparked Circe's bubbling anger. She needed Mr Mercury to be alone. And of course, a witch who inherited the spirit of a demi-goddess was not complete without telepathy. The ability to read, plant or erase the thoughts of another person. And so, that is what she did. Well, after she had launched in to a few somersaults, which planted her in perfect distance from Mr Mercury and his accomplice.
"Come on...Come on..." She carefully muttered to herself. She closed her eyes and slowly began to rub her temples.
"Nothing." Pushing out everything around her, all noises, all sights, she focused solely on this one man's inner thoughts. And how to plant false ones within. Something Circe had yet to accomplish before.
