My Top 10 Favourite "Left-field" Graphic novels!
Some of my favourite books that are a bit different from the norm. Some of my inclusions will surprise a few as they aren't universally popular, but hey if we all liked the same things....

I love this book! Its only small but a well written story of how Wonder Woman must slay the dragon and take out all her JL colleagues on the way and yes Batman gets a slap!
By Geoff Johns, Volume 1 is a great origin story with Captain Marvel re-imagined and re-named.
Superman story with a difference..imagine finding out you really were Superman! Very touching and very different Superman book.
Controversial one this, as many Batfans hate Geoff Johns work but I love this different take on the origin story and being a brit, the bad arsed grisly ex Royal Marine Alfred is much appreciated!
Wow! the re-imagined New 52 Captain Atom is a powerful guy and this is a great story showing our mis-understood hero against the military and fighting alongside the Flash. What a shame the series was canned.
This is on another of my lists, but is definitely a "left-field" Wolverine book, with dinosaurs, ageing heroes and lots of Hulks!!
Bruce Jones run on Hulk is generally not well remembered but there is something about the art and detective element to this story that I really like!
Not the most famous Flash story, but a great action packed adventure with Bart Allen, a story that got me into the Flash
Gail Simone wrote some great WW books and this is my favourite. Packed with action including an epic battle with Power Girl!
Not the most famous GL book, but a great little story with Hal Jordan teaming up with Batman..an uneasy relationship at first, but it works and a great clash with Mongul Jr and Mongal, the sister!
