Zatanna 0

The Short and Sweet Review!  The Good -The art had a nice vibe to it, Roux did very well on this issue and the last one. The coloring was very vivid and matched the contents(storyline,characters,etc) of the story  well.  Roux really captures the spirit of the Zatanna and the magical world(demons, witches, etc). The dream sequences were pretty cool as well, very well crafted considering so much was going on in that panel(page).-We got a little sneak peak into the history of Zatanna. - I liked how...

Bruce the pirate! 0

The Short and Sweet Review!  The Good -Grant morrison has this special tone/mood when writing Batman stories that is very attracting, this issue is well written and contains pirate diction which adds to the setting for the story.  I wasnt a fan of the pirate dialogue, but i liked the conversations between Valor and Bruce. And the diary that valor had kept tell he was an old man was interesting. Not to continue to  rave about the writing, but overall it was a strong script and added to the myster...

Green Arrow=awesome! 0

The Short and Sweet Review(no spoilers) The Good - I loved this issue! this is my first in introduction to Neves, i loved the writing! This issue was well written, strong diction and syntax. The script had its philosophical moments, and overall the writing was stong, swift and to the point! It always added to the story and never hindered with cheese ball dialogue. - I began attracted because the storyline presented the ever occurring theme of nature vs industrialization and the wealthy vs poor. ...

Red Hood! 0

The Short and Sweet Review  The Good -First time i've been introduced to Judd Winick, so i must say i loved the writing in this issues. its very well written and you can easily see the progression of the story. The dialogue and monologue were very good, and didnt even have a hint of cheesiness.-Art was amazing, esp when Talia and Jason were sitting on the cliff. -I liked how Talia mentioned to Jason that Batman will never be the same without him and he misses him, it just connected all these sca...

batman- his truest form? 1

 The Short and Sweet review   The Good -I love how Batman is humanized(He got hurt and isnt like super quick, its very human like) and he isn't made to look all powerful. - Loved how his voice is deep but not christian Bale status. -The scene with the joker was very interesting. -The directing and script in this movie was awesome! -The dark nature of the film, it really shows Batman true character. - when batman jumped off and landed in the puddle, then stood up it almost looked like he w...

Harley Quinn 0

The Short and Sweet Review.  The Good -i thought some of the writing was decent in most of the panels/pages. it really brought out Harley's character. - As you can see the cover is pretty good!  -some panels of art were okay - the plot line was explained clearly. The Bad - not nearly was well written as the Riddler oneshot -I didn't like the art at all, it was so cartooney!. i didn't like the drawn images of Batman,Joker, or Falcone. Esp Batman who had nothing to him!  -frankly, the story was ki...

Zatanna=Awesome! 0

The Short and Sweet Review  The Good - This is my first introduction to Zatanna, and i loved it! Its nice to see a strong women character! -Paul Dini is a wonderful writer, he really brought out her character. shes a very interesting character. And Dini showed how strong and independent she is cause she was kicking evil guy a$$ with no worries. overall though good, solid writing style! - Artwork: it was very vivid and had a lot going on in some panels, but it worked well. esp the murder scene wa...

Return of Bruce #2!! 0

The Short and Sweet review  The Good -Grant Morrison is an awesome writer, and never fails when it comes to a batman story. when it comes to batman, Morrison is a man with a plan! -i loved the writing, it was incorporated to the time period conveyed in this issue. it was never cheesy(in my opinion). Overall, i just had a good feeling on the writing.-i felt Bruce was a strong presence in this issue. - the storyline(so far) has been really well written and played out.   The Bad -The art was kind o...

Short and Sweet review! To be honest i wasn't much of a fan. i have never really picked up that many fables, so maybe i'm missing something. i just wasn't attracted to the story, like it was kinda weird to me. i'm not really into the whole fantasy thing. The art was just so basic, it typical vertigo in my opinion. It reminds me of Y: the last man, like the art form, but Y:the last man is better. I'm still not seeing where they are going with the story. i will borrow the novel just to see, maybe ...

The good I was very drawn to the art(some) and the story line! Grant Morrison is a very good writer. There are a few cheesy parts but hey, what can you expect, i guess it matched the time period in the comic. The cover is also awesome! In this issues there are so many big names, it really adds to the issues(in ways).  The bad  Well it was 5 dollars! you can almost buy two normal issues. also i wasn't a big fan of the art transition, one era just wasn't appealing to me at all( Frank quitely's art...
