Q:
Tell us a bit about your background in comics as both a fan and creator.

A:
Well I have been a fan as far back as I can remember, however, the first comic that made me want to create and collect comics was the original 'Blade, The Vampire Hunter' series. I was just a young teenager at the time and the artwork of that era wasn't considered to be the best but i just loved the characters and stories of the Blade series. It was a darker more violent comic than what i was used to reading and that caught my attention.

I have gradually added to my collection over the years and having a love of drawing and creating artwork I had to try my hand at comics as well. When i was fairly young I created a strip comic that I sent to the local newspapers for publication. For years after I continued to draw my own characters and eventually got the chance to use my drawing skills to create an interactive CD comic while attending college in 2000. The characters name was 'Chains' and i only ever made the one issue. Even now it stands up pretty well against today's interactive CD comics. The last comic creation i was able to complete was a black and white short story called "A Sign of Peace'. This may have been a very cliched revenge story that has been done a thousand times before but it became more of a warm up for what was to come.

As for now, I am collecting more than ever and have just completed the story and artwork for my first comic entitled 'One Way to Die'. The rest of the series will be completed and released over the next 1 - 2 years. And of course i am also going to see all the comic book based movies that keep being released. What a great time to be a fan!
