    Prelude To War

This is the first Lady Death comic I`ve ever read, and I really don`t know much about the character. Although come the end of this issue I`d pretty much picked up the thread.
This story opens in medieval times, 1226AD, after a race of evil-albino types, The Eldritch have been banished in some previous battle, to the realm of Aglarond - oh dear, this all sounds a bit Lord of the Rings don`t it?
As I say, I know nothing of Lady Death but gathered all this from the first few pages of this opening tale. It seems Hope - that`s Lady Death`s civvy name, apparently - is Eldritch herself but obviously on the side of the goodies. Her fellow kith and kin seem keen on delivering some sort of revenge however and are planning another assault on Earth...
What can I say about this comic? Well, it`s an interesting opener and for most of this issue the reader is put in the picture by Hope and her amorous friend, Wolfram. The action explodes in the last few pages as the Eldritch fire the first shot, so to speak.
I`m not hooked but it seems a reasonable enough sci-fi fantasy. Very nice artwork by Amorim and Paulo with top colours by Dalhouse - check out those lush landscapes and skyscapes...
