    It's getting close to the release of Kick-Ass and Empire Magazine has a Kick-Ass cover for their latest issue.  The issue features Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass, Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl and Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy.  I guess there's no love for Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist. 
     
    Inside the magazine there will be interviews with Nicolas Cage and director Matthey Vaughn (apparently he originally had Zac Efron in mind for Red Mist. 

    "We initially met Chris Mintz-Plasse for Dave, because we were thinking about making Dave (Kick-Ass) a really, really geeky kid. And we thought it would be interesting if Red Mist was the much cooler guy."    

    I think that would have really changed the dynamic of the movie and not necessarily in a good way.

    I think Chris Mintz-Plasse is a perfect Red Mist, although we haven't seen that much of him in the comics and it's still hard to see their personalities. Overall I'm really happy with the casting (even though I personally can't stand Nicolas Cage for some reason) and can't wait to see the movie (and grab the next issue!)

     Zac Efron's not a bad actor, just like the Jonas Brothers arent bad mucisans. Its just that 90% of what they have done so far has been geared towards pubescent kids, and has been very simplistic and shallow as a result.
     Zac's involvement would have changed the caliber of the movie. Kick-Ass currently has Cage and  Chris Mintz-Plasse as its big names. yeah. You change on of those to ANYONES icon (Efron being the screaming teen girl icon) and the movie would be portrayed differently even if the acting was all completely the same.

    I have to say EMPIRE has always do great covers for upcoming movies. Especially , when it's a superhero movie.
