razzatazz's Justice League #8 - Justice League Team-Up: Green Arrow; The Curse of SHAZAM, Part 2 review

    A valiant effort I suppose

It feels here like the Justice League is settling more so into their groove as opposed to trying to wow the readers at every turn.  I liked the previous issue although it wasn't liked by most, but here the same tone is present with just a little bit less character development.  The manner in which the Green Arrow interacts with the team is pretty well handled and the revelation about J'onn was also somewhat of a memorable moment, but it feels mostly like this is now just a dependable series, which may excite from time to time, but more often than not will just be a fun and entertaining read, much as this one was.  The backup story with the Marvels was actually much better I thought, especially in the nature of how they are being re-imagined.

So close. This issue was SO CLOSE to being a much needed 'decent' issue to allow me to slacken my hatred a bit, but no, Geoff Johns just HAD to make sure I hated him again this week. I loved him last week and probably will next week; but it seems like the third week of the month will be 'Hate Geoff Johns Week.'To be fair, this issue isn't the dribbling mess the previous one was. There's a TON less moments that are downright atrocious writing, in fact, none of this issue has the heaping pile of m...
