The Jonah Hex monthly series starts off great with the story 'Vengeance for a Fallen Gladiator'. Jonah is hired to find a boy that was kidnapped from Tennessee in 1874.

Eventually he finds an unscrupulous pair that abduct young boys and make them fight in vicious bare knuckle brawls to collect gambling stakes.

Michael Fleisher's story skills are as good as ever - though there is the occasional stretch, such as Hex shooting a whip in two as it's being wielded.

Jose Luis Garcia Lopez' art is also great, with both interesting 'camera angles' and use of light and shadow.

    Worth picking up!
