Mark Simpson AKA "Jock" is a Scottish artist who got his start on 2000AD in the UK, before becoming known in the US for his work at DC/Vertigo including The Losers, Green Arrow: Year One and Detective Comics as well as numerous covers, including a long cover run on Scalped.

Career

Jock is a British comic book artist who, like many British artist, got his star with 2000AD and Judge Dredd. He has also drawn numerous titles for DC Comics, Vertigo and others. He recently completed a run on Detective Comics, working with writer Scott Snyder. He was also the regular cover artist for the Vertigo series Scalped. Jock is currently illustrating back-ups in Batman and seeing the US reprint  by Image of his mini series Snapshot originally published in Judge Dredd Megazine. He is also providing covers for ongoing series Wolverine MAX.
