Invincible #17 was an extremely fun read, with touches of romance, action and humour. We never really got to see much from Amber, but in this issue, we finally see her hanging out with Mark for 6 straight pages, and it was all very nice. The humour part was very brief, but still, of course, funny. What happens is basically shown in the cover, but it's more detailed inside the comic, and can give you a laugh. As for action, we see this new villain called Thomas Winters. He is pretty strong and badass, and can prove to be a challenge to our hero.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ottley's art is not amazing, but it is certainly fitting for this series. I loved the villain's facial expression when Mark was taking him to space. My complaint is similiar to what didn't please me in issue #16. Angstrom Levy has a brief appearance and takes some villains out of prison, and then he says he'll explain what he wants from them on the way. Well... we don't even see him after that.

Anyway, Invincible has been amazing so far, and it's building up to be Image's Superman. However, I think that, just like Supes, Mark should have an arch villain. Overall, this was a superb comic, although it wasn't epic. It gets a 8/10
