I have been reading up on Hope and while I'm relatively satisfied with her as a character and the fact that she is not Just another Jean Grey knock off One thing that irks me is the inconsistency of her age depiction. for the most part most of appearances (since she returned) she has been portrayed in her early to mid teens (12-14), and yet in others she is depicted as being around Laura's (a.k.a. X-23) age which is approximately 17-19 . This same problem occured with Kitty Pryde (a.k.a. Shadowcat) when she was both the youngest X man/woman and Pete Wisdom's paramour at the same time (which caused a lot of controversy/ possible statitory rape.)    
 
So can someone please give me a effective approximation of Hope's age?

I thought so but there are so many varying depictions of her physicality (one moment she looks like emma frost and others she looks like a 12 year old) and her maturity level (one moment she is pitching a fit over her a hair kit and others she is taking the initiative on the front lines of an extinction level event.)

As Hellion would say, "old enough".
