Great book to read to your kids

This is my first review so bare with me a little as I make this short and sweet! I went to the comic book store a few days ago to pick up a couple of issues for myself, and strolled over to the kids area to look for a book or two to get for my 5 year old son. Together we had already polished off the Toy Story series put out by Boom comics. What to get next? Well they had some Incredibles, Cars, Nemo, Eh. Muppets? No thanks, they jumped the shark when I was a kid!

Then I saw this book. Cute kid on the cover, looks like something my son would like. The cast: Main character Franklin Richards, Puppy, Squid Kid (almost a cross between Patrick and Squidward from SpongeBob), Energizer, Franklin's trusty robot sidekick H.E.R.B.I.E. (Think EVE from Wall E) Also, you see Kristoff, heir to Dr Doom!

One of the things I like about this book is there are mini stories in it. This is easier for me to break the book up into a couple of different nights worth of reading just before bedtime.

At the end there is also a preview of Marvel Adventures Superheroes # 14.

Some people might say this is a little reminicent of Calvin and Hobbs, as the kid does look a little like him. Overall, I gave this a 4.5 out of 5. It really is a great little book to read to you kids or to get for little ones in your family.
