Why is long hair(males) unprofessional?

I mean regardless of my long hair I'll still do A+ quality work.

Society just can't handle our realness, brother.

It just makes you look untidy unless you actually do something with it.

Societal Norms. Girls can have hair whatever length they want, guys are judged for it. Sexism is real, Feminists want you to believe it's against woman but really it's against men.

Every feminist I've met has been of the opinion a male should be free to dress against societal norms as he pleases.

And they all thought I had lovely hair. ^_^

Okay, so I was I at school two weeks before senior year ended and some dudes (they were like freshmens or eighth graders or some shet) tried hitting on me cause they thought I was a girl due to my beautiful sexy hair. As soon as I opened up my mouth and started talking, they started freaking out and were like oh shet you're a guy okay never mind

if they didn't even see that you were a guy when you faced them, then you have one hella good sets of dna.

Well long hair wouldn't work for many professions actually. But yeah I don't know. It's just something society has come up with.

Cutting your hair means you care about your image as a professional.

Long hair can be grown out by any slob out there.

I'm of the same school of thought, but about beards.

Putting your hair in a bun/tying it back solves most problems.

I tried out for the NOLA fire fighter, and they said I had shave my beard....... Do you know they start out fire fighters in New Orleans at less than 12 bucks an hour? That's $#!%.......

Most males dont groom their long hairs so it doesnt look good or professional. But if you groom it then it is awesome (i too have long hair :D)

Well with the food industry, it's not hard for it to become unsanitary. Otherwise it's more of a "you put mote effort into you're appearance because you also cut your hair" type deal which is stupid when you consider some hair styles require a lot of maintenance.

I personally find guys with long hair to be very attractive.

I used to want dreads, and I was a long way towards getting it, but I guess it really is impractical for a guy who works in a science lab. So I got it cut.

Also, people tend to think long-haired men are less clean and like drugs.

Certain jobs accept it, others don't. If you want to rock long hair, become a carpenter or mechanic or some sh*t. If you want to work in an office building, or somewhere that involves a lot of customer contact, you gonna have to have that sh*t cut.
